I would like to note again that last year after the initial sell out of the first batch on most exclusives Hasbro followed it up immediately with preorders for a second batch. And in some cases even a third later on.
If it's anything this year like last year, you'll be fine. Quote:

Betsy is carrying the Twilight sword and it's got a different shape, the teased sword was definitely Marvel's take on Excalibur

Crap I forgot about the whole Pulse membership thing which I'm not about to pay for. I didn't even bother trying for the Hellfire Club set from last year so I'm not clear on how that works. Do you get first dibs on the exclusive set? Is it only available to Premium members? If so then I'll just do my best for Meggan on eBay. I don't see her going for more than $40 in the initial months.
Should be fine, considering the amount of product they'll likely produce- even with the limits on Classified Snake Supreme CC and 00 Snake Eyes, as well as the underestimated demand for Classified on the whole, both figures were easily attainable hours later as a non-premium member. This is Marvel, after all. I'd only be afraid if they end up announced as Target exclusives. |

Alrighty then. I guess I'll take my shot when the chance comes. And if that doesn't pan out then I'll just be off to eBay for Meggan.

I picked up the new She Hulk figure at Gamestop. I had some rewards coupons so I got her for cheap, which was nice. I really, really wanted to use the calm head on her, but it doesn't look right to me in hand. Like, if her clothing is torn up, she should look pissed off. Maybe that's just me, but I'm displaying her with the angry head for now. I would really like a better Avengers outfit version. The one from the A-Force set is good to have for a stand in, but that buck is a little janky.

1st this is the Ursa Major wave aka Build a Bear Wave. Disappointed that they did not do a movable jaw for Ursa Major. Love the figure overall. Guardsman is better than I thought he would be. I can see some collectors army building for a Vault dio. Mod IM is very cool and very posable. Darkstar's hair style is not great. Makes it difficult to turn her head. She has several different hands which is good but she should have come with effects. Hologram IM looks OK. Wish it was a different armor. Ultron should be larger. The sculpting is very good. He could have used some blast or other effects. If anyone wants Ironheart, PM me with an offer no box or with box. Zero interest in the figure. Looks decent but no room on the shelf. Stealth IM is a good IM for the armory and comes with the Tony Stark head.

Finally got around to picking up movie Mystique from the Prime Day sale since there was nothing else I wanted to use the $10 coupon on.
With her in hand, I can't help but think she'd be a good base for a True Form Midna figure to go with the Twilight Princess Link Figma. |

Wasn't Quasar supposed to be out before Nova? I only ask because I don't think I've really seen anyone finding him yet either.

I believe Nova is first then Quasar. I will be on constant look out for both of them and of course hook up as many of my fellow Arkers as possible. On mission!

After watching today's episode of Loki, here's hoping we get figures of The Variant, as well as Agatha from WanadaVision. Both costumes would make for excellent figures!

As part of the prime day deals I finally went ahead and scooped up the Skurge and Hela pack at almost half price. I already had the individual Hela from the Ragnarok wave but it's nice to have a more screen accurate figure for my MCU collection since the old one has been standing in for a comic Hela. The heads included with this one are all great but she is light on accessories, the undersized mid-crush Mjolnir is disappointing and the single (eternal) fire effect doesn't contribute much. A couple of her swords and maybe her pick would've been appreciated. Mine has a bit of paint chipping on the upper left shoulder area but otherwise she looks great. Skurge was the main draw for me, the Karl Urban likeness is fantastic and in general the figure looks very good. He has some limited articulation which isn't a surprise given the fairly bulky armor but he can still strike some good poses. His executioner's axe is nice but he never really used it in the movie so naturally Des and Troy are my accessories of choice.

As for Walgreen's exclusives, I really hope the next Cosmic release will be Gamora. |

I’d also like the Mass Effect armor. The one they did in 3.75 scale was cool.

I remember seeing the Marvel Select one too at the Disney Store... looked pretty decent IMO and not overly big like some Selects.

Odds are we'd get the variant of the 'Mass Effect' armor that the new Guardians of the Galaxy game uses before a comic one or an Ultimate Alliance 3 one.
Which is a real shame but Gamerverse gonna Gamerverse. Also for some reason I can't help but think that Gamora's fishnet look seems like someone just thought '...Green Mystique!" and then decided to use a young Cher as an inspiration. Last edited by Shinzero02; 06-24-2021 at 02:11 AM.. |

It wouldn't surprise me if Cher was an influence in the 70s for Gamora. Cher was a well know celebrity then, a sex symbol, known to wear her hair very long (sometimes long wigs) and one can still find pictures of the racy fishnet outfits she wore on occasion.
However, Gamora wasn't based on Mystique as she predates the mutant. |

Young Cher? I wonder what makes you say that. Is it in her eyes? Is it in her face? In her warm embrace?

I'd dig an original Gamroa with an updated classic Adam Warlock. Hell, throw in Pip the troll too!
