MODOK ever being $50 didn't sit right with me, I waited until he was $35 to finally pick one up and felt really good about it then. The Hydra Stomper looks decidedly more worth its initial price tag but it didn't leave much of an impression on me in the show so I'll be passing on the figure. Thanks for the comparison pics though.

For those who missed the grey Black Widow from Wal-Mart, it is back up.

That’s still underwhelming for me personally, but that’s alright. I’ve really bought substantially fewer figures the past two years, and especially with prices increases, that definitely looks like it will remain the case.
I’d have preferred classic Miss Marvel, Wasp, Mantis, Moondragon, Mockingbird, Firebird, She-Hulk, Photon, Sersi, Crystal, Echo, Yellowjacket, Marrina, or Nikki Gold to Quake. I dunno, Quake’s fine, but it’s annoying because there’s tons of characters I’d rather have first that are unlikely to show up outside of a BAF wave, and the Avengers ones are infrequent. |

As for Quake I'll gladly take her as-is, but I do kinda hope she comes with exchangeable arms to give us a basic female SHIELD agent body. I wouldn't say no to extra Maria Hill and Helmeted Agent heads, either. Last edited by redfox; 09-25-2021 at 11:05 AM.. |

Marvelousnews is reporting that someone found the Armadillo wave at a Walmart in California. The guy who found them was able to get everyone except for Dr. Strange.

Depending on the costume, more of the tooling budget than one might think could end up going to Blue Marvel:
Even some of the simpler looks offer parts we haven't seen on what I'm hoping will at least be the Hyperion mold (or maybe the newly tweaked Captn Britain body). In writing this, I've suddenly been reminded as to why I'm reserving caution regarding this release. Short of a Blue Marvel birth in the films (were that to actually come to pass, please cast Michael Jai White, MCU Studios...please, be smart), there's likely to be only one shot for fans like me to get a Blue Marvel fig. This creates a great deal of toy angst (for me) as to which costume is used, what body it will be on, and will they include different hand sets. In retrospect, maybe I should have called for Blue Marvel more often, if only to provide a fan reference within this internet toy-related zeitgeist/ether. This fig coming out isn't as straight-line as people might think. For whatever reason, as time has marched on, Marvel artists seem to have pared down Adam's 'Superman-esque' physique, which I could see playing havoc with Hasbro's understanding/concept of the character. I'd be disappointed for Adam to show up on any of the more diminutive molds; he doesn't need to be a giant, but he surely isn't pedestrian either. The Bucky mold (which hasn't exactly seen the phase out they mentioned, turning up in their recent Hydra/Hellfire/Shield army-building offerings - to name a few) would be an obviously poor choice, but I could see it happening if they went the route of the first (Ultimates) costume I embedded without an appreciation of the character's earlier appearances. Ideally, I'd prefer anything between the Namor mold to Hyperion. Then there's the matter of hands and the possibility of a lack of comprehension that Adam either punches things, or blasts foes with antimatter necessitating, at the very least, both fists and casting (not grasping) hands. In short, this could easily go badly if they are of the opinion of just throwing out a minimalist effort simply to checkmark a niche character off the list. I could see the Grim Reaper / Wolf Cap body working for Blue Marvel. I'm bound to pick up whatever they give us since it'll most likely be a long time before they do another, if ever.

Yeah, there's likely only going to be one shot at this, which is frustrating as I want more than one look: the 'Land' illustration, and the modern super-scientist version. It goes without saying that I'll nab whatever they put out, but the Namor/Wonder Man mold is fine as long as they use one of the larger scale body types. I sincerely hope they include (at the very least) fists as a default, or as part of a set of options. Hopefully they will repurpose the Guardsman fists and I'd accept a reuse of Namor's 'swimming' hands, but would prefer new beam-casting molds.

How many different "simple" body types are there now?
I count 4, let me know if i'm wrong. -Slim (The Leader, Mr. Fantastic) -Average (Spymaster, Mar-Vell) -Average with butterfly shoulders (Human Torch, Falcon) -Big (Rage, Red Guadian)

There's the Bucky Cap one, the Spider UK body, and the newest Spider-Man torso.

I'd love for them to make a female SHIELD agents 2 pack, like they did with the male, with alternate heads and helmeted heads.

Warpath is actually on the Omega Red body, and Crossbones is on Hyperion! Omega Red is 6’11”, so he’s a lot bigger than I think many people realize.

There's bound to be more than a few mistakes in that list as it's an off the top of the head rundown. But, yeah, not having much interest in Omega Red (or Crossbones regarding the matter of flipping their sculpts - just bagged and binned both after opening), I had no idea he was that large.

I got an e-mail earlier that my two "Retro Spider-Man" Sandman figures are shipping from Entertainment Earth, one for display and one to keep in the box. I can't wait to add them to my collection. Fingers crossed we'll see a Retro Spider-Man Fan Channel release or two next month.

I think the new Spiderman 2099 should be imminent. I've seen pics on the Reddit from people who have already gotten it from their local comic shop. With What If? and the Armadillo wave beginning to hit, I would hope that the retro FF and Spiderman waves will release before the end of the year. |

I'm not a fan of the bright orange but the sculpt is miles above the one from 12 years ago. It evens out. Edit - side note, after obsessing over my emails for shipment for the AOA wave, I'm going to stop hovering. Apparently some cases of 8 got out, not sure why mine didn't. I realized after the fact I did order a case of 8 not set of 7, right as they went up....you'd think it would be shipping soon but based on comments I'm not seeing bunches of people receiving shipping confirmation. maybe they just got in a handful. Hopefully soon though....that's the last big thing on order for me. |

RIGHT! All this! Give us Villains Wave 2.0 with BAF style Annihilus wings (but don't use unsightly hinges)!
