I briefly considered Hobgoblin, but I have the Space Venom(?) wave version, and I prefer the more subdued tones. They'd really have to knock it out of the park to entice me to replace it, warts and all. Tangentially, I feel the same about Absorbing Man Venom- by no means a perfect figure, but certainly the "best" to date. |

^ IMO Symbiote Spiderman is a different entity though... you are buying the Symbiote... not another Spiderman. Look at it this way... if you are reading a comic... and Peter Parker was possessed by someone else in the story... would you consider that person to be Peter Parker... or the person that possessed him?
You don't have any Targets near where you live? That sux... although... we only got our first Target in 2009... will never forget the first time I went to Target and checked out the toy section... 2009 was right in the middle of the 3.75" renaissance with SW, Joes and MU... it was so awesome. I remember first seeing a Target in the movie Career Opportunities... always wanted to go to a Target after that. LOL. Last edited by MeLikeJinx; 01-23-2022 at 11:40 PM.. |

Now, all I have to do is haunt the forums, be somewhat diligent, set alarms, etc. I've managed to get just about everything I'd like from the comfort of my own home, usually at retail prices. Don't get me wrong, I'd still rather go to Target and just buy the shit, but it's not as much of a dealbreaker as it used to be not being able to. |

^ I totally understand about TRU... we only had one TRU in the entire state. LOL. Funny thing you mention Kre-o Joes though... our TRU only ever got in one box of wave 1 GI Joe Kre-o... that's it... so that means our entire state had to fight over one box of Kre-o Joes. LOL. I remember I went late one Sunday afternoon and the wave 1 Kre-o Joe box only had 3 blind bags left in the box... I checked the serial numbers and shockingly two of the remaining blind bags were Alley Vipers, so I bought them... and still have them till this day unopened.

A Target an hour away? One TRU in the entire state? Jesus, where do you guys live, in the Sahara?

And since the one on the vintage card is supposed to be the animated version, he should have had a non-torn cape since they modeled the Hobgoblin costume after Kingsley's despite having him be Jason.

But the Hobgoblin they gave us is Jason Macandale, not Ben Kingsley. They need to do one without a tattered cape to be the Kingsley version (and a new headsculpt would be nice, but I'll at least take a regular cape).

Just out of weird curiosity, what is the most you have spent for a single Marvel Legends figure?
For me it was the Wallgreens Human Torch in a mint card off of an Amazon listing. I put him off for years but finally pulled the trigger and completed the Wallgreens Fantastic Four set a few months ago. $75.13 for Johnny Storm! |

^ Do you regret it now that the new retro Human Torch figure came out? Or do you prefer the Walgreens version?
I spent 80 bucks on a MOC Rocket Racoon wave Jean Grey literally a week before the rumor list came out about the love triangle 3 pack... and that was back when the leaks were crazy accurate. Had I seen that leak first I would not have bought that Jean Grey at a local toy show... would have just waited for the 3 pack version. I was a rookie Legends collector back then though and didn't realize characters would be re-released or upgraded. Never made that mistake again and never paid more than 40 bucks for single figure after that. I needed Jean to complete my X-men team though and foolishly thought I was done collecting Legends after her and was willing to splurge on my final Legends figure... so I went for it. |

For a single standard-sized character, mine was Walgreens Magik for $40 off eBay. She never hit near me. I saw her on-shelf while on vacation in Florida some months later.

Hot Toys introduced their NWH Green Goblin. Hopefully Hasbro shows off their villains from the film within a reasonable time frame.

Outside of him, and maybe the old outdated Arnim Zola and Stryfe, there hasn't been a ML I feel I need in my collection that requires me to spend outrageous money on them, and even those are questionable.

It was $36.56 for Tessa Thompson Valkyrie in the Endgame Wave 3 line. That whole wave was hard to get. I had a Valkyrie pre-order on walmart but they dicked me around for so long I canceled it and had to go to Amazon.
