From the Thor line I found Fandral (#08), Hogun (#09), Volstagg (#10) and the Destroyer (#11) at the Super Target behind Triangle Town Center in Raleigh today. They only had one each of those, which I needed for my own collection, but they did have multiples of the helmeted Thor (#07) which I got the other day.

I've noticed there are two versions of Shield Bash Odin, silver or gold chest plate. The eye patch is also a different color. I've seen several of both. It may have been a 50/50 thing. Any other variants in this series?

From the 3 3/4-inch Green Lantern line I found Krona (the Fallen Guardian), G'Hu, Voz and a new Hal Jordan at the Target at Lynn Road in Raleigh today. I've also seen the new 4-pack with Salaak at several Targets this weekend as well.

They are $14.99. The Thor and Loki are awesome. Ultimate Captain American and Nick Fury look like a re-release of the Two-Pack figs from a while back. The Movie version Cap looks just like the Marvel Select one. Kinda high, but they go well with the 6" Iron Man figs that walmart has been selling. The thing about Walmart is that eventually you will see these alot. I remember when i was looking for the 6" Mark V Iron Man they were hard to find. Now that is all you see on the hooks!

Anyone seen the Walking Dead figures in the area? Are they unique to TRU?

Saw the Walking Dead figures at the TRU in Cary late last week. They also had the Mego style classic Universal monster figures which I don't remember seeing before. I also found two Revenge of the Jedi carded figures at the Cary Target late last week (Vader and Luke). Has anyone seen any popping up anywhere else around Raleigh?

Over the weekend I saw a new wave of Iron Man 2 figures at the Target in Apex. They were all concept series and I remember a Stark racing armor, munitions armor, the black and gold Mark V stealth armor, a red and white heat armor and I think one other. They also had the green and silver Hammer drones which were kind of hard to find at one point.

Found a few more of the Revenge of the Jedi cards today at the Walmart in Cary. They had the Vader and the Endor Capture Luke, and they also had Admiral Ackbar. They just had one of each. And they do have the mail-away Boba Fett offer on them.

I saw the new Marvel Universe Iceman, Magneto, Absorbing Man, etc (no Namor) at Target in WF, and the 2-packs of Captain Britain/Spidey and Powerman/Ironfist.
I still can't find the Taskmaster 2-pack...not that I have the money now that I grabbed the LOSH 12-pack. Plus, they are $6.99, on sale at Target this week along with Star Wars figures

Found the GI Joe Renegades figures at the TRU in Cary today. They had Snake Eyes, Duke, Cobra Commander and Firefly. They had multiples of each. And about 1,000 Iron Grenadiers.

Found some good Star Wars stuff at the Super Target behind Triangle Town Center in Raleigh today. They had the vintage-style boxed ESB Tauntaun as well as the Tauntaun "Search for Luke Skywalker" battle pack with Han Solo and the variant Hoth Rebel Trooper we saw pictures of way back on the white Build-A-Droid cards. They had two of the vintage-style Tauntauns and four of the battle packs. They were both $24.99 each. (I got one of each.)
They also had the new wave of DOTM Transformers deluxe figures. I think one was Air Raid and one was the Ratchet repaint. I think they also had a couple of other new ones but I didn't have a chance to take a really close look. |

And found the Landspeeder in the vintage box at the little Target on Capital Blvd tonight. They only had one, plus one of the Tauntaun in the vintage box and four of the Tauntaun battle pack. The Landspeeder was $24.99 as well.

Hey, neighbor! I saw both Tauntauns at the same Targets, but what is the difference? The classic box just doesn't have figures, but the box being old school is the incentive? Anyone around the N.Raleigh area see any Nick Fury 6" Captain America figures? I passed on them a few weeks ago, and now regret it.

Saw a large quantity of 30-year Joes (Waves 1 and 2 including Renegades) at the Target in Wake Forest last night, probably the largest assortment I've seen outside of the TRU in Cary, and they were on sale for $6.99. They also had some new vintage-style Star Wars figures (Ponda Baba, Revenge of the Jedi cards, etc.) but every one of them had a card that was practically pulverized and the bubbles crushed so I had to pass on all those. They also had the new red Voyager class Ironhide in the Transformers DOTM section (I think it's called Cannon Blast Ironhide or something along those lines).
The Walmart in Apex also had some of the new vintage-style Star Wars figures the other day as well as the variant Fantastic Four 4-pack. |

Found DOC SAMPSON MU this week-end!!! WHAT??? He's old! He must have been a return, I did not expect to see him.
It was at Wal-Mart in Wake Forest. They had a refresh of previous sets if you missed them, like WW Hulk, bikini Namor, Scarlet Spider, Bucky, etc...I can't recall. But they are $7.99 there. Quote:
Thanks for the heads-up!

thanks Mj3141x, just picked up the Foundation Variant FF set from the Apex Walmart. There is at least one more set. There are also at least two sets at the Fuquay Varina Walmart. Both Walmarts look like they just opened up cases of the Marvel Universe series 2 sets.

Just a reminder about the Greensboro Toy Show this weekend.
