Hey guys, those of you with both Revoltech Iron Man and Marvel Universe and/or Marvel Legends and Hasbro's Iron Man 2/Iron Man 3 Iron Assemblers figures, can you post comparison pics? Thanks! Looking for overall height/size differences and which line(s) the Revoltech Iron Man armors fit in with best.
Thanks again!

Whoa. Look at that Invid. Cool!
And your 6" Avengers setup is awesome too... you got everybody... even Maria Hill. Which 6" War Machine is that? Hasbro or Revo? |

That's the Hasbro IM2 movie line War Machine in the pic... Revo War Machine is inside the glass display case that these guys are displayed on top of. =)

LOL. I have all my expensive Japanese import Figma anime figs behind glass too... only my Marvel Universe and Joes are exposed to open air. LOL.

Wow thanks man, I never realized they were THAT big! That's bigger than the usual Revoltechs. Hows the quality on them?

Quality is really good, and in an Avengers/Movie display, they can't be beat. They're a much different handling experience than Hasbro 6-inchers though. I wouldn't call them fragile, but even though I'm not afraid to handle/pose them, I wouldn't push the articulation on the revo's as much a Hasbro due to worries about paint scuffs/marks. Basically, revo's are "appearance grade" toys, and Hasbro's are more "play grade", but the trade off isn't that huge between them. Plus, revo's are the only game in town for a 6-inch scale MKVII at the moment.

The link I posted to marvellous has mark v pics. If you're thinking about getting one and want it in scale then don't even consider the mark IV or VI I have all and those are too small. They're even smaller than modular IM. Sorry if my pics are a bit out of focus I couldn't be bothered to find my tripod. The mark V and VII fit in perfectly with any NL lineup and are worth it in my opinion. The mark III is a bit small but the arc reactor is just awesome. Hope this helps. P.S. Let me know if you need more pics.

Oh btw if you're thinking of getting the mark vi in this I'd skip it, I sold my Kaiyodo one and Hasbro as I have preordered my bandai one - that one should be the best one imo:

War Machine is a bit smaller and tbh the Hasbro one is better. I will dig up my Hasblo War Machine and get you some pics of them with him. Give me about 45 mins or so, I have to see which box I packed it in.

Btw for those of you curious. I sold all my Hasbro Iron Man 2 figures Except War Machine. The Hasbro IM figs just don't cut it. I mean the Mark VI and Mark V. The Mark IV and War Machine are better then the Kaiyodo ones.

If you're thinking of getting the Kaiyodo War Machine I can tell you that it'll be smaller and shorter. As well as not look as nice - save yourself the money and get a mk 5 or 7 instead. Or wait for the SHF War Machine. Sorry if the pics are outta focus a bit I'm sweaty and hungry. Lol, anyway hope this helps you. Btw if you're looking for a mk 7 I have an extra so I can trade you one MOC or loose (the one I used for these pics) just let me know if you're interested.

So that means? You're getting one? Passing on it? Getting War Machine?

It's getting hard to keep all the releases straight of all the various Japanese manufacturer's IM's. I'm interested in seeing what the figma Avengers line is going to be like.
Sorry but I have to mention that if someone needs a Revoltech MK VII I have an extra for trade. MISB. |

Ugh... I kinda wish Figma would just stick with anime stuff. I wonder how all the Marvel stuff is selling in Japan? |

I don't have a comparison pic, but I do have the revoltech Iron man 2,6,7 and war machine. I also have the hasbro ironman 6 & war machine.
The older revoltech ironman figures are slightly smaller in scale than the usual ML figures eg the movie figures. However, Revoltech seems to realise the problem and thus the Mk 7 is bigger. He is in scale with the 6" ML figures. The Mk 7 is not cheap, but is a great figure. I would recommend the figure. If you have the Revoltech Tony Stark head, it still fits nicely in scale on the mk 7 armor. It would work well if you use a small revoltech joint for the neck joint. |
