I was blissfully unaware of QC issues and bought Arkham City Batman from Amazon; he arrived today. The figure looked so awesome, but then when I pulled him from the box, his head fell off! Apparantly, the joint that connects the neck to the torso is not connected properly. I've removed the head part from the neck and have been trying to connect the neck back to the body, but to no avail. I can't really see what's going on when I try to connect it because it's in a recessed area, but it seems the little dog-bone shaped joint keeps moving to the side rather than getting forced into the joint.
Any advice? Hopefully I won't have to return it because that's really the only thing wrong - I'd hate to send it back and get one with two of the same feet or something... |

After sending a stern, but not abusive, email to square enix take some photos to show. Maybe some of the expert owners/customisers can help

I notice on my guile his inner crotch joint does not line up with his chest, and his left leg ratchet joint sticks out because of it, i wonder if i can move this thing.

I think you should be able to, it might just be secured by glue, warming it up in hot water might help loosen the bond. With my Ryu's shirt, it's misaligned too.

I just got the new PAK Robin and in a vain effort to see if his hood was removable I popped off his head and neck the same way..... 30 seconds of hair dryer later and it popped right back on. (I put it in the freezer after, to reset the plastic too)

I can see where SE is coming from by using the pivot joints within the upper torso to provide sideways shoulder articulation from the chest out, but MAN those joints are pretty fragile, I have no idea why SE insists on using those and making them in PVC when the shoulder joints themselves are usually very tight!
They pivot joints do not feel too strong on my Armored Bats, and these same joints are the ones that broke on my Arkham Asylum regular Bats and my SFIV Ryu. In a way I would rather see SE not use those joints at all, they don't provide that much sideways/pectoral articulation for the shoulders and they do "break" the sculpt in a bad way when pivoted forwards/outwards. For PAKs breakages in that area are the most frequent from what I've seen.

After a lot of looking and only finding a contact for problems with final fantasy online, I checked the box and found a general email, [email protected]. -For America there's www.support.na.square-enix.combut I can't find a direct contact link, and I would be reluctant to sign up after they were hacked last year and took ages to fix the site. But you can try snail mail, Square Enix Inc. Merchandising division, 999 N. Sepulveda Bldv, 3rd floor El Segundo, CA 90245 For Europe there's an email address, [email protected]. and via post, square enix merchandising department, Wimbledon Bridge House, 1 Hartfield Road, Wimbledon, London, SW19 3RU Bare in mind my info is from the box for Solid Snake, so with the way Squenix has been in free-fall lately, don't be surprised if either or both of those offices don't exist or are or no help |

Frankly I'd be surprised if they do replacements. If you follow their gaming exploits, you'll know Square Enix is in a real bad patch. Overspending, the CEO stepping down, games selling over 2 million units but still technically a sales failure. I'm surpised PAK is still a thing as when things get rough the first thing a big publisher does is shut down external operations. Maybe PAK is one of the few profitable arms of Square Enix?

I guess so. They have a lot of licenses as well and you have to pay quite a bit to get those. Well, we'll see if I can get the part or not. I really don't want to buy another one or just return this thing because of one missing part.

I wish you guys luck with e-mailing SE. I tried it once to get my Chun replaced and got zero response. Ever since, I won't buy these unless I can get them from a retailer that accepts returns or can get me a replacement. Shin's right on about the lateral shoulder hinges. Companies like NECA do them right (albeit with smaller scale figures), with the posts of the joint either being thick/heavy-duty or breakaway so they can be reattached. I'd say that they shouldn't even bother, but from how the Halo 4 figures turned out, they may have resolved it. Last edited by orionpax636; 04-22-2013 at 05:16 PM.. |

I have both PAK Raidens released so far. No major QC issues so I'm happy. I even lucked out a tiny bit being my UK LE came with 2 DLC codes for the white armour. I'm up to 5 PAK figures now: -Gray Fox -Solidus Snake -Kaz Miller -Raiden (MGR) -Raiden (white, MGR) C'mon re-issue Solid Snake...

But some people are selling just the figure. But now Raiden is hitting retail the prices on ebay are falling in line, like you said Coldier Soldier. I'm all for someone wanting to try and make back costs on a figure, but if someone nabbed something early in the hope that it's limited release can be exploited for profit, then to hell with them. Solidus aside, I think no PAK figure is worth more than $70

Mine also happened to come with a broken part. I really gotta stop buying these things, but they are the only ones making Metal Gear figures besides Revoltech. I sent SE an email with some pictures. I hope things go well. |

Good luck, be sure to report back if Square Enix reply.
HLJ have Arkham Asylum Harley on sale so I pulled the trigger on her. She doesn't have any problems like Joker does she? |

What issues does Joker have? My Harley seems fine but I might need to take a closer look at her.

Got my Harley today. Thankfully, she doesn't come with any assembly screw ups. Apart from what looks like a gate mark on her right upper arm. I'll borrow a camera and do some pics soon. But do her arms swivel at the bicep cut? it looks like they should, but they don't move and I don't want to force anything on the figure

I have three figures so far: Sneaking suit big boss, mg rising white raiden and solidus snake. They're very cool and i had no major issue, i just noticed that one of big boss' ankle is very weak and solidus is generally loose. I need a stand badly, do you have any suggestion? I heard barbie stands are good but i live in italy and i haven't find these in retail shops.

I had some issues with the play arts final fantasy versions. But once they went to "Kai", bigger etc - haven't had QC issues.
This is my new favorite line, problem is, don't really care for most of the figs they release, character wise. I'm more into Super Heroes and 80s connected stuff. The modern game figs don't do it for me (except Kratos ). I'll be grabbing Zod, maybe Superman, and some of the variant DC stuff. Maybe a Ken too at some point to match my Ryu. |

I've been collecting the playarts line since they were the "none Kai"; I have bought almost all of the Final Fantasy ones for the sake of having them(a little regret since now I look at these toys and realize that I bought certain characters for the sake of 'completion' and not because I like them).
Moving on to the Kai series, I bought most of the Mass Effect ones(with the exception of Ashley), I bought Lightning and Vanille, Lightning FFXIII-2, and Batman Arkham Asylum. With the exception of Lightning and Vanille from the FFXIII who I've never taken out of the box, I haven't had the issues that some of you are having. Just reading some of the issues here, I'll have to double check and make sure i have the proper hands and feet, which I'm sure I do. Also this makes me a bit more skeptic about reposing them as much as I did, and disdains me form buying future lines. Some of the issues are obviously quality and/or company defects and that is just unfortunate. I'm sure there are others who are having these issues outside of this forum and hopefully they have voiced their qualms to the company. Now hopefully they are heard. Not holding my breath though.
