So today was the supposed launch date for the Iron Man 2 6" Exclusive Movie Series figures at Walmart. Yet all I've found were sightings in Canada, none in the US. This, has left many of us, very disappointed.
I have read that apparently tonight at midnight(4/20) there will be a midnight launch of these figures in the US. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen but we have hours to go. Nonetheless, we can presume we will see these figures at Walmart sometime, eventually, this week at Walmart(hopefully). So the poll for this week is, how many of you are going to be looking for the 6" movie series figures?

UHGUHUHUHUHG
Ive been hunting and went to walmart twice today. ughghuguhuhg. i'm such a sucker. my theory is this: i went to target this morning they were setting up the end cap with a hall of armor cardboard display. is it possible the release date is for those, it got confused with the walmart exclusives? Because its pretty regular that target puts dates on exclusives within an already released main line, but I have never heard of walmart putting specific dates on anything like that. |

I'm definitely hunting for them. Getting at least 2 War Machines, 1 Mark 4, 1 Mark 6. That should do it for me. Going to the 5 walmarts around Atlanta tonight to look for them. Thanks for the info.

Dammit, how do I mess up a simple yes/no question?
Er, just pretend that one vote for no up there is a yes. Being in Canada, I think I'll be looking out for these. They seem to be pretty cool. Still wish I could find wave 2 of the 3-inch figs. |

I don't want to sound like a hater, but what's so special about this figure? I get that is has extra hands, but what else is special? How's the articulation? does it come with a base/stand with an arm, or something? Or are people just freaking out because 'zomg h00g moovie war mahcine so cool lololol'?

Well, I have the Marvel Select version and it's not that articulated, no extra hands, the gun doesn't slide, kinda mis-proportioned really, and it's picky on how it wants to stand. The WM version is the better version, it has/does everything the Select does not and does it well.

Gosh, no wonder i can't find them here in malaysia, it hasn't even been released state side. No one here understood when i asked about the 6" line. They do though have the 6" concept series (ice, fire and sand prototypes).

I mainly got the 3 pack for the arctic crusader heavy armor the other two I wasn't into and have left in the package. to me that was the best figure of the concept series both that mold and the heavy artillery were just awesome.

Where did people hear about this release date exactly?
I saw the 6" 3-pack at TRU tonight. Didn't get it but I will soon. I'm still mad that I saw two or three of the 3 3/4" War Machine variant (with the blue arc light), passed on it, then two days later they were both gone. |

Usually by now we would have seen some accidental sightings, some lucky hunter who accessed a pallet early, or an Ebay sighting. I don't think we've seen any of these yet.
I'll save some gas, because when they do hit, it will be some super-big display either at the front of the store or an entire endcap. These are the only ML sized figures for IM2. I don't think it will be a matter of finding them, just a matter of finding good paint applications. I'm excited too, but I'm not wasting gas hunting right now. I'd think Walmart would wont to have something heavy to drop on kids & collectors a little closer to the movie release date which is only a few weeks away. |
