Thanks, sounds sensible to me! (I think I'll do the same.)

I found a new head to swap onto an Iron Man on clearance at Wal-Mart.. not the best ever, but 4 bucks for the pretty solid head, extra body parts and plenty of guns/laptop/rpg/accessories!

Is that a Mutt head from GI Joe? Quote:
I already made a slew of SHIELD and HYDRA emblems for customs (and my FF logo). If youre really gonna use it, PM me and I'll make some up....maybe a small multi logo sheet for us Arkers. Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 05-31-2011 at 12:13 AM.. |

Yeah, it's nice but saint Ohe's Tony Stark head is amazing!
What is that from? I'll order three right this minute for various IM figures! Again, that's some amazing work- as good as that Riverspoons kid (and he's fantastic!). |

Best custom hands down is still that Starlord that was posted on the first page. Biased opinion though because, well, he is top 5 for favorite marvel characters :P

Yeah, that rocks no end- tough to be honest, I awlways kinda hated that bug eyes visor.
Bragging time: own the original artwork for Thanos Imperitive Ignition page 19- and I've wanted to re-create that scene with figs since i first framed it on my wall. I'll need a Starlord, Rocket Raccoon and Moondragon (already have Thanos, natch). I've got a Moondragon in progress but where can I find an in-scale raccoon to modify?!? |

Oh boy, that is a tough one for Raccoon, even tougher to customize. I'll let you know if anything comes to me in a dream. Hope you do the same for me too :P

And speaking of Rocket Raccoon, the only reason I haven't attempted a custom is because I remember reading a rumor that the next wave of Gigantic Battles is going to include Groot and Rocket. I'm keeping my fingers AND toes crossed for that one. Jason, you own you the original artwork for that page?!? How did you get your hands on that?!? That is awesome! |

It is indeed Breaker for the Stark head.
I definitely tried classic suits first, but the pegs are much bigger. I will be trying other suits since I own every 3.75" Iron Man released (-some concept series stuff cuz it's dumb :P) or I could shave it down to fit too, but this was just to quickly take a pic and see what everyone thought. So what 2-pack is this Ash head from? The splitting Ash one? Is it painted? I don't do work for customs! :P |

The head is from Ash, from the old Army of Darkness 2-packs.

I'm keeping my fingers AND toes crossed for that one. Jason, you own you the original artwork for that page?!? How did you get your hands on that?!? That is awesome! Brad is SUPER COOL and I bought that inked page from him- the same month it was on the stand! Thank God for my roommate! I spent my half of the rent on that (Really, it was only three bills- Brad actually wondered if he'd sell all the art he brought- luckily I got to him on the very first day!) I got to BS with Brad for about an hour- he told me how he really referenced real raccoons for Rocket instead of making him look too annthromorphic...and how he really tries to ink his own art- everything else looks kinds messed up to him but time constraints sometimes for the issue- meaning that he'll have the penciled page and the inker the inked page (but not in my page's case). Best of all, he'll be here for this year's Supercon on my birthday (July 4th!) and I plan on buying a couple of more pages from him! Really, that page is the highlight of my collection- custom framed, on my wall- right next to my Tony Harris Starman (One of my alltime favorite series). A Groot RR two pack would indeed be incredible but I fear it's a dream- they likely are not well known enough for that....but then, that giant Skrull got his head blown off by Nick fury after one page, so who knows? Aren't they already making a Starlord ? I think I saw a few images on here with his silhouette & half of the characters are confirmed to be on their way or already came out (Taskmaster, Scarlet spider, Sentinel, WWH, & Dr. Strange).

I remember this thread too. But I have such a hard on for Saint Phes Starlord custom that I highly doubt Hasbro will be able to match it [maybe in paint apps and things like that] but when it comes to the parts used to make it. Gi Joe parts will ALWAYS be superior to MU sculps. Hasbro needs to combine the two, to make the ULTIMATE figure line EVER.

I'm not a big "customs" guy, but I did take the wings off of 25th Joe Nemesis and put them on my variant Archangel to see how it looked as The Fallen from the Mutant X continuity. Didn't look bad, but it kinda needs a new head to complete the look.
I just did a mock-up to see what it would look like, to make this permanent you would have to drill a new hole in his back to peg the wings into. |

It is more or less the legs, Gi Joe legs are great and NEVER fail me. C'mon Hasbro, lets see some Joe legs on some MU figs.

I think a Red Hood can be made by using a Blade's jacket, Namor's body, WW2 Ult. Cap (arms), Black Panther (head), & Ghost Rider (legs) what you think?
