If only I could find these at retail, I'd buy most (if not all) of them in a heartbeat. Unfortunately online purchasing is not an option for me at this time, so I gotta rely on the big box stores to have a little more faith in the line.

kokomo toys really came through for me with this wave. The nearest ToysRUs has over a dozen of last year's figures so they wont put out anything new.
I really like them all. My only problem is that Storm Shadow has yellow skin around his eyes on the masked head. I guess the unmasked head could have a normal color but I haven't opened it yet. I will post if I ever see new stuff at Walgreens . |

I haven't gone toy shopping in months. I've been anticipating Ultimate Firefly for a year. I better go out and check tonight. Sure he's grey and dull, but I like his design a lot. I like that they used Storm Shadow's jacket mold from the first movie. It looks good in dull olive.

Thanks for sharing that. I didn't notice it was the same jacket. I really like that Firefly too. These recent joes have me almost as excited as when the Pursuit of Cobra figures showed up in 2010.
This new Cobra Commander is the best modern interpretation of the vintage '80s figure. I love having them stand next to each other. One could probably say the same for Snake Eyes but I didn't try that yet. |

Just got back from checking a bunch of stores, including Walgreens. I literally didn't find any kind GI Joe items anywhere except TRU, but it was old stuff from the preview wave from before the movie's release was delayed.
Does anybody know roughly how long ago this new wave hit retail? If it's been a month or so, I shouldn't hold my breath for any local retailers to stock up. I may have to order Firefly online. Different sleeves, but the torso is the same. Last edited by Optimus Neeson; 09-19-2013 at 08:37 PM.. |

Finally found Wave 3.5 at Kmart tonight. There was 1 Firely, 1 Roadblock, 1 Storm Shadow, and 1 Snake Eyes. I picked up Firefly. He's nearly perfect, except his right elbow is slightly mismolded, but not in a way that affects the articulation.

Finally found Firefly myself at a Walgreens (who didn't have any last time I checked and suddenly had ONE a week later. Hmmm....).
Great figure and I love the mini-H.I.S.S. drone. Great way to work in the missile launcher gimmick without being completely ridiculous and over-the-top.

$10.99.
Kinda wish I had been able to find them at K-Mart and saved a buck. But all the K-marts in my area have pretty much given up on Joes since mid-2012.

The Kmarts in my area tend to surprise me, both with stock and prices.

Yeah, it's the only place I've been able to find the N.I.T. Turtles. Plus TMNT is one of the few action figure lines to stay in the action figure aisle there. They did a refresh and IM3, ASM, MOS, Max Steel, TMNT and TF Construct-Bots all stayed while everything else is on clearance pallets in the main aisle. Hot Wheels and 1/64th toys took up the remaining space in the A/F aisle. *shrug*

There are at least 3 Kmarts in my area, and they each have about 5 aisles dedicated to toys. Cars/Hotwheels/Matchbox type toys have their own entire aisle. Action figures have their own aisle. Building blocks have their own half-aisle. Board games and puzzles cover about 20 feet of a whole wall. Baby and toddlers toys have their own aisle. Girl toys have their own aisle. Nerf, laser tag, and water guns have their own half-aisle.
