The title really tells all there is!
Bandai of America will be officially releasing their super popular line of highly poseable action figures called SHFiguarts starting with the Japanese counter part of Power Rangers Samurai, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger! From the TRU website description, "Collectors, here's a unique opportunity to own a figure from the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger Japanese TV series, now airing in the US as Power Rangers Samurai! This distinct Power Rangers 6 inch Shinkenger Action Figure exhibits ultimate detail and the highest articulation in the Power Rangers line. The figure has sleek Samurai styling making it stand out from the rest of the pack. Attach the included hand accessories and create a dynamic pose, or make the figure ready for battle with all the gear! The Shinkenger Figure is an essential item for the Power Rangers enthusiast. Collect all figures to discover the Power!" Power Rangers 6 inch Shinkenger Action Figure - Red - Bandai - Toys "R" Us Power Rangers 6 inch Shinkenger Action Figure - Gold - Bandai - Toys "R" Us Wow this is pretty friggin big news to me and maybe some other guys here remotely interested in tokusatsu or just PR! I was fine with paying for these things online or at cons, but available at retail is a life saver! I hope they manage to get the Tamashii Web Exclusive Blue, Green, Pink and Yellow as well. Damn, TRU can sell power rangers from figuarts but not the other 20 awesome products they sell.

But here's hoping this opens the door to them carrying Kamen Rider Figuarts, at least, since they are infinitely better toys than the crap they called KR Dragon Knight. Personally, I would love to see W, Agito or Kuuga Figuarts at TRU.

Well, Power Rangers is still fairly popular and there is already PR Samurai product on the shelves. The last two times they tried to bring Kamen Rider over Stateside, they didn't do very well.

And since Masked Rider and Dragon Knight have been shown here stateside, there's a fair chance Black RX and Ryuki could get released as well. Last edited by TheLoudMaster; 09-23-2011 at 02:30 PM.. |

Already have these SHFs. If these sell well enough it'd be great to get the rest of the team released here as well. Those were exclusives in Japan, but given that the Dragon Ball Z exclusives are getting a general release domestically I can only hope the same for the Shinkenger ones.
It's rumored that Saban has tentative plans to adapt another Kamen Rider series. Maybe if that pans out, and it's not only good but successful, we'll see Kamen Rider SHFs figures in TRU as well. I thought Dragon Knight was very good for an adaptation. It's a shame it didn't get any good figures from Bandai. I think that hurt the series just as much as the show's budgeting and airing issues. |

Is this officially announced about the DBZ figuarts being released at retail and if so, when and who will be selling them?

Well, there's been no word on brick and mortar stores as far as I know, but Amazon was announced as an official retailer by the domestic distributor BlueFin a couple months ago. They have a number of the recently released figuarts and preorders for upcoming releases including Vegeta. Haven't checked for the new Goku. Of course BBTS is also selling them.

Telling my buddy to hold me one of each now whenever they come in.
This is definitely a step in the right direction. |
