After going to the hospatial I went to the wharehouse (New Zealands walmart) And we were just about to leave when I went to look at the clearence bin when I saw,
Marvel universe Jean Grey and Classic Mrs Marvel!!!!! There the 3rd and 4th marvel product in new zealand that I have seen, So I grabbed Jean Grey, brought it and ripped it open in the car. IT is awesome if you see it, grab it. |

Hmm, from one countryman to another that's definitely an odd find. I mean, I found my Jean Grey in a similar situation, but that was years(?) ago now. A few shops still have one or two figs at full price from the first few waves but that's it.
Are you an avid follower of the line?

good find, especially at clearance pricing, as they are older figures. However this thread would probably benifit from being in the "look at what I just got" thread, or the MU appreciate thread, IMO.

No Worries man, you seem newer here, so figured you just hadn't seen the threads for them, Eventually most mods will move the thread to a more suitable place when they can find time to do so, but honestly no worries, shit happens, plus if you do post it in the other 2 areas you'd get more responses and feedback.

I only bought her during Target's buy one get one sale. Other than that, her head looks weird. I prefer the comic pack version of Jean Grey (Phoenix)

I was living in NZ when MU started so they definitely used to, great shame they've stopped. I think it's a similar story in the UK, NZ and Aussie, you'll get the first few waves of a given toyline, but beyond that just pick them up online as you'll probably never see them. Farmers does occasionally get some decent Transformers exclusives though!

I've been cherry-picking MU since it left so It's not like I've truly been missing out. Part of the fun for me was the hunt though, so I do miss that. Yet on the other hand, as you suggest, we recently got the transformers "cyber-tattoo" exclusives well before they even appeared stateside! Anyway, I fear this may be getting a bit off topic?

It's sweet when you can get something on clearance, but really the golden rule of collecting has to be buy it when you first see it.

Exactly. Not sure what the mods are trying to accomplish with the "Experience" thing here, but then they crack down on what you can and cannot post. The last week or so has seen an exorbitant amount of foolish, irrelevant, fluff, garbage threads.
I personally have been completely turned off by this forum. What lengths people will go to get free sh*t. My God, I'll give my own prizes away JUST TO MAKE THESE PEOPLE STOP.
