Screw you Mattel! haha. Oh man, I'd buy these, but I just got rid of all of my 3.75" except my Joes. At any rate, I'd probably be raped on eBay for these. Sigh.

These things have WAY more appeal to me than the 6-7" DC Direct Stuff. Imagine if they had the license for 3.75" Arkham City!
Man at least make these available to comic shops!

Damn exclusives.
I want. I want a whole frigging line like this. This is what the GL movie toys should have been. I'd call myself a Marvel man, but I'd buy the shit out of decent 3 3/4" DC toys if they made them. |

If I wasn't worried about MU before, I am now. This is a sign of the apocalypse! The end is nigh!
Also, DCD--way to f with your customer base. Your goal should be to make as much money as possible, not alienate folks that don't go to every freaking convention. This is worse than that Gleek fiasco from DCUC. |

Kyle's mask looks weird. Is Kilowogg's mouth hinged?

You know what the sad thing is? I bet the very reason these have to be "Convention only" is because of the Mattel license.
Just like you don't see DC Direct stuff at Wal-Mart (normally). This is Graphitti Designs showing Mattel how it can be done, but whether Mattel will take the bait and actually give enough of a damn about the DC license to make a collector-friendly 3.75/4-inch line. On the maybe-plus side, Graphitti Designs has put past convention exclusives up on their website before. Maybe this will be the same. |

Effing DC. The most brilliant thing you finally make is so limited there's no way to make a profit on it.
Smart. I'd love to own this but probably never will. |

I hate them both. I want good 4" DC figures. Ah well maybe it's just as well, it might mean more of my DC heads will sell.

DC Direct, Graphiti Designs, what have you do not typically distribute to mainstream retailers (Maybe sometimes TRU?) They bypass those outlets altogether and sell directly to the market (Hence why they're called "DC [i[Direct[/i]"). Comicbook shops, specialty stores, and online retailers. There's absolutely no reason they couldn't sell these the same way. It was a conscious decision by these people to restrict this line to conventions only.

Doesn't work that way. These would *never* be available at Walmart, whether or not Mattel or Hasbro made DC toys, or anyone.

It's one thing to make these things comic/specialty store only but to make them CONVENTION only sucks. There is no way I would buy a Mattel 4" GL/DKR/DCIH over these. These are more expensive and worth it.
Graphitti Designs can pull it off, they sculpted the Blackest Night figures for DC Direct and also a few Hellboy figures back in the day which were fully articulated. I hope we at least get these to comic and online stores.

WTF!?!?! !@#$ YOU SDCC AND !@#$ YOU DC COLLECTIBLES!
Why the hell did they think it was good idea to make this SDCC exclusive? They would have made soooooooo much more money if they sold these at TRU,LCS and Book Stores! *sigh* This is such BULLSHIT! |

Know what's worse? That unless I'm mistake, this set is only available at SDCC.
I mean I TRIED to look at the bright side and hope that it would be available at other cons, like NYCC but nope. Big ol' honking SDCC exclusive sticker! Here's to hoping that SDCC is just a test and they'll release them at other cons. |

Well, we could get lucky and these will be specialty stores items. Just not with the metallic paint job.
These might be the tease before the big reveal. If it's not though. That's just one massive **** tease. |

Then don't play with them - display them. What, are you planning on parachuting them off your deck? :P

I'm all over these!!! Well, not really. I WOULD be if they weren't convention exclusives. DCC is sitting on a goldmine, and they're screwing themselves here by making these and future ones convention only.

See here is the thing: They are asking $25 for this right? and the funny thing is that none of us would mind paying that for quality figures of these characters right? so easy math here would indicate that DC could make a killing if they would wise up and make it happen
