The classics line seems to have one foot in the old cartoon and original toy line, so you get a meeting of both. I look at them as being like in the konami games, where the turtles had pupils in their eyes, but always looked angry when kicking multi-coloured foot soldiers. Please Playmates, give us foot soldiers

No, Turtles in Time was released on the SNES. I know because I never got to play it.
TMNT II on NES was the standard/first arcade game. TMNT III was The Manhatten Project, which was an NES exclusive (Never existed in arcade). I didn't have a super nintendo, and I never got to go to arcades, so I never got to play Turtles in Time... at all... ever. But even still... what's wrong with wanting to play an NES game? I'd rather play those than a PS3, myself.

Translation: buy these guys and their turtle casemates when they get released. No waiting for a sale like so many other folks tend to do. Lol

Ha ha, s'alright. It's just that over the years, once in a while someone, however inadvertently, gets on the "he doesn't know his Turtles boat" (luckily you were just on the dinghy). It's one o' those "o.o whaaaat?" moments.

And I was mistaken about the avatar.
But I wasn't wrong, it did make me want to play Turtles in Time. |

Don't wait on the Classics. When I saw them in October or November of last year I figured "hey, when I come back next week they might still be here".

I may do that as well - just to play it safe until I decide if I truly want to collect the entire Classics line or not. Especially since I'd still have to pick up all four "Toitles" as well. Gettin' 'em all at once ain't gonna b cheap, son.*
*Man, I can't even type "street" without feeling silly.

For me, sight seen, they're bought. If the Turtles are in the second wave, I wouldn't mind if there's a variation of some kind that would make them worth picking up again.
On a side note, I was playing the TMNT 2 NES game last night.

The Classics Turtles are excellent figures. I pre-ordered them from BBTS for $55 for all four of them, but would easily have paid the $20-a-piece retail price for them. They are seriously worth it. Unfortunately, no pre-order yet for Bebop and Rocksteady. Only for the entire case.

Don't mean to be a thread necromancer, but I was really looking forward to these two guys. Has anyone seen them at retail? If not when do they launch? Information on google seems fishy.

They're not due out until July, unfortunately.

I found both Bebop and Rocksteady today at TRU. They are both really good looking figures, but I think Bebop was a little short changed in the accessory department because he did not get his knife; he only got his weird drill thingy.
The Rocksteady I got also was assembled wrong so his right knee is facing the wrong way. Has anyone else had this error, or should I consider myself lucky to have found an ultra rare varient ? I know it will be an easy fix, but does anyone have any suggestions? Should I use the hot water method to get the leg apart and flip the knee joint to the right direction? I don't want to damage anything on it.... |
