I saw these over at Marvelousnews.com and the face sculpts look damn good. I am really wanting the Black Widow to replace the head on my current MU Black Widow.
DON FRIGGIN' CHEADLE. Awsome sculpt but it looks a little big on the armor, as does Robert Downey. I will pick these up when I see them in person. Until then, they do not make the list.

I'm sold on nick fury. The others might have to be impulse buys.

I'm hoping for the swappable heads (A custom Robert Downy, Jr., from Friends & Lovers and Scarlett Johansson from Lost in Translation are going to be the centerpieces of my WFT? action figure shelf) but none of the Iron Man 2 figures I've bought so far have swappable heads. What's the point of having a dozen suits of new armor if you can't put Tony Stark's head on them?

It looks like Nick Fury is missing the awful hips joints found on the other Iron Man figures and the XMO figures. This is awesome.

the likenesses are really solid but what definitely sells the warmachine for me is it has the correct missile pod instead of the over-sized Gatling gun projectile launcher...here's hoping you can easily swap them
I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought of that lol...as soon as someone gets their hands on it let us know if its possible! |

there is a way to tighten the ball socket joint that they attach with Ive used it on other figures that had loose joints or older ones that over the years got loose you can use an apoxy like locktight (this is the glue that I always use its super strong and very durable) and it makes a tighter hold in the socket here's a link to a repair tutorial that explains what I mean...
I have used this on transformers and other figures works great!! Fixes for Transformers Animated Figures! |

I think I might end up getting black widow too, just to start a 'movie' avengers set.

Is anybody disapointed that Nick Fury comes with a removable cloth jacket?
For some reason I always hated those because they never seem to fit right, seem to big, look awkward etc...... |

I agree with the idea that these might have to be bought on impulse... Definitely going to be tempting though.

I think it isn't always a bad Idea like I have the comic con extreme hellboy and the comic con hellboy that both have cloth jackets and they look great...with fury I think its just hard to say because the scale of the figures makes cloth jacket sizing just hard to make look good. it does seem a bit over sized due to the rigidness and the stitching size.

The down side is of course the look on the figure. I think what would be perfect is softer plastics that allowed some levels of movement but were not quite as big an issue as these we have gotten the past few years. But it appears no one is trying that at this point. |

The cloth is a major selling point with me, Last year's Sabertooth from WO was partly ruined by the hard jacket that to me limited his movement. It works in some cases (ie Paris Pursiut Snake Eyes) but most often its a detriment to a fantastic figure (Movie masked Storm Shadow, perfect other than articulation issues) and makes you wonder why include all the points of articulation when there is no way the figure can use them.

I hope they add removable helmets for IM & WM. Otherwise I will be reusing the heads and will have unusable bodies (until I find a good Armored head to LBC it with).

I don't think they do cause Id imagine they would be pictured with them, also I think if they did the helmets would look way over-sized on the figure bodies. so until we see more pics or them in package who knows.

the thing that would bother me about the plastic jackets is that the ones I remember easily ripped and tore so I just don't know about those and they just seemed cheap...maybe a vinyl cloth composite with a cloth lining but then that would definitely add to the price. I get the thing about the molded on jackets your limited to that look so it has to be done right similar to the old danger girl major maxim great classic mcfarlane sculpted figure and the jacket sculpt looked great.
I do think they can tighten up the jakets a bit to not seem so bulky. Obi Wan's from SW looked pretty close and his was multi-layered (If you count the skirt underneth) but at the same time Owen from SW was way oversized. There is a middle ground that I think Hasbro is avoiding, either accedentally or on purpose. |

It would be odd for them to create all new figures for this line and then exclude Nick Fury. I think that it's a new body that happens to looks like the Beachhead figure from the 25th line. Regardless, I will still purchase this figure.
