First post, been a visitors for years!
This 6" Star Wars line has really got me interested in SW collecting again. I have not collected anything SW except Boba Fett for 10 years or more. I really think the Black 6" line will be a little more reserved in the use of repaints, but with Hasbro you always have to expect it a little bit. If you really look over the Sandtrooper, all of the extra armor pieces can be removed to have a basic trooper minus the rifle holster. I am really surprised at some of the choices for the first three waves (EP 3 Obi-Wan?, why not EP 1 or 4), but so far I am sold on all of them. Paint apps on my first wave are all amazing. R2 doesn't have rough blue paint around main forward sensor, and my Sandtrooper helmet is not near as "dusty". Only dissapointment is the seem on R2's dome is fairly rough for such a major focal point. |

I received Darth Maul yesterday...I'm still blown away. A full day later and I'm still excited about it. I don't remember the last time I've ever been really excited about a figure. It still hasn't sunk in yet, last year I gave in and started buying figures from the Vintage Collection, fully intent on getting another full collection (to replace my first that I sold in 2010) and I had already accepted the permanent 3 3/4 gap in my collection (90% of my collection is in the 6" scale). It really gives me chills having my first 6" Star Wars figure (I'm kind of blocking out the "Unleashed" line).
(obligatory fanboy remark) Here's hoping they make a few Knights of the Old Republic figures...I'd love an entire KOTOR wave but even just one figure per wave would be great...and here's even more hoping that they DON'T make KOTOR Black Series figures and release them as SDCC exclusives, the scalpers made it basically impossible to get the SDCC Boba Fett. |

Might just be early versions, but ep 3 obi wan, bespin luke, and slave leia look a little off. Especially in the head sculpts/paint. A little too 3.75ish in nature. Solo and Greedo, Boba and Trooper, look on point. I am gonna grab all of them regardless, at least at the start. I just hope more fall towards the ones I mentioned and Wave 1 level refinement. |

No doubt! The shots should get the figures in their hands, and then the figures themselves will do the rest. I find it hard to stop staring at them on my desk.
