I love this line because I think this was the best Batman cartoon to-date. Nice pics!

True that. The animated series and new adventures (I usually consider them the same thing) are great. Not every episode could escape the pitfalls of being a cartoon but even watching some episodes again as an adult has high entertainment value.

I'm digging it, the Batman is just perfect. As is the BTAS one coming out. I'll prob get them all straight through, but I can definitely see myself thinning down the road and keeping only the iconic ones. Batman, Robin, Joker, Catwoman, etc.
Where I'm going to put that Batmobile, I don't know tho. |

I dunno, I think Robin's arms are just a smidge too long, though I guess it's more well hidden when he's in an action pose, haha.

What with this being based on an older cartoon I remember that character's bodily proportions weren't constant from scene to scene even so there's that. Looking at it, it doesn't seem like the arms are too long, I would think though that compared to the general stylization of the designs of the other characters that Robin's arms possibly being a hair too long isn't gonna stick out. I like that for the most part it's really easy to blend the new adventures and original animated series figures together in a display.

These figs look nifty...I can't imagine buying anything from this line but looking at the pretty pictures makes me nostalgic for the 'toon. If they make a Demon from the 'New Batman Adventures'(since that was my favorite episode), I might be persuaded...

I'm being super picky about which of these I get. Currently I only have Two-Face and Joker, and I only intend (from what has been shown) to get the Phantasm two pack, Bane (gimp Bane! ), and maybe Scarecrow.

I'm still holding out for Superman. May pick up Batman when/if they do to go with him. And if they get that far Batman Beyond.
If they sell well enough they could keep this line going a loooong time. JLU had at least a couple hundred characters alone. All that said Man Bat looks amazing. |

Etrigan would be cool. I don't know if they're limiting themselves to only making Batman characters or if anyone who appeared in the cartoon is fair game.

I really liked Heath Ledger's Joker and I think it will stand as one of the greatest villains of film history, but this IS Joker to me. Nobody will ever be the Joker to me but Mark Hamill, everybody else will be compared to him in my book, Ledger is excluded for going to a different level of realistic crazy. That being said I've already expressed how much I love this figure on other threads but I'll say it again, they chose a crap episode to go for accessories and even then they didn't maximize the options given from the respective episode.

I got the joker. I refuse to open it. because I know sooner or later, I'll get the chance to have Mark Hamill sign it.

Wow. The photos really make it. These are 6 inch? Must reconsider this line, especially if it includes Supes.
Favorite would be a respectable version of Old Bruce from Batman Beyond. Bonus would be Bruce in his first appearance wearing the Batman Beyond suit (i.e., not skinny like when Terry wears it). |

These are 6 inch. Tho, that varies fig to fig. You can see a comparison to black series star wars here:
I think Joker is supposed to be a bit bigger than a base character, and Luke is a bit smaller than a base character, in each line respectively. I am not super into the deep Rogues gallery here, but, if they expand into Superman, JLA, Batman Beyond, I'll keep key characters from each. While I was speaking with the DCC rep at Toy Fair, he joked about being able to go on for a very long time, implying the connection with the other series. All depends on performance. |

Thanks, Tony! Interesting that you pair Luke with the Joker. Did anybody else catch Mark Hamill in his new role as Trickster in the last episode of The Flash? He was great, and it was nice to hear that evil Joker voice again.
The more I look at these designs, the more I'm warming up to them. The designs are quite good, respectful of the appearance of each character, and deserve patronage. I decided to pull the trigger for Batman and Catwoman, for starters..... |

Man, the Joker looks great. Can't wait to see him side by side with the BTAS Batman.

Where I'm going to put that Batmobile, I don't know tho. I plan on getting these eventually, beyond thrilled and relieved that DCC finally switched up joints and upped their quality control. It's been a long time coming. I hope a Batwing and Batcave with Alfred are in the works. This is the line all BTAS fans have been yearning for but never got. Glad it's a reality now.

The Creeper episode is still one of my favorites. The ending is just too great.

I never cared for the Creeper himself but his episode was fun, if only because Harley Quinn was now the one being humorously buried with unrequited affection. Jeff Bennett did some nice voice work too.

I remember early appearances of Creeper back in the 1970s, and recall him being much more creepy back then. I haven't cracked the old books in ages, but wasn't there a supernatural aspect, like a cross between Kraven and Ragman? Anyway, he's an interesting character, potentially weirder and darker than Joker in the right creative hands.
