Re-purposing this thread as a general Mythic Legions gallery thread. I'll be doing random figures from upcoming waves, so will just dump them all here.

I think more of a tribute, waiting for my Keltuss, didn't preorder Adamonn because I think his arms look too short.

As Threat said, they're homage figures. The Four Horsemen Studios (the creators of these figures) do a lot of sculpting work for Mattel (the owners of Masters of the Universe) and now Super7 (on their Masters of the Universe Classics line). They've been around for a long time and have a lot of connections and friends in the industry. I'm almost certain that they ran the homage figure ideas by someone at some point who said it was okay. They wouldn't mass produce these figures if they thought they'd be sued. They always first release these Masters of the Universe homage figures at the annual Power-Con He-Man conventions (the first was an orc in the colors of Man-At-Arms, these two were the second set, and the third set for this year are a Battle Cat and Evil-Lyn homage).

Ah, so these figures were made by the Four Horsemen? I had no idea Mattel was doing stuff like this.

Love Mythic Legions, I got all of this Coliseum wave. And I love their homage figures, these 2 are really awesome but not even the best in the Coliseum wave. Fantastic pictures that really do this line justice, hope you review more from this wave with pictures this good.

Yeah, Four Horsemen sculpt on behalf of other companies, but also produce and sell their own line of toys now. This is from their own line.

If I had several hundred thousand dollars to blow, I'd hire the Horsemen to sculpt my imaginary "Kirby Klassix" line of Silver Age 6" figures.
I swore when these MLegions first came out that I had more than enough figures already, and that these newcomers were WAY too expensive...yet now I've cherry-picked about a dozen or so of my faves. I'll say one thing. The 4Horsemen have an interesting business model. Anyone who waits to pay full-on retail for these figures is...well, crazy, IMHO. $50-$60 for one figure? Sheeesh! But if you pre-order, and don't mind paying the piper a year or so before you'll ever have the final figure in hand, then not only can you get them for ~$20-$25ea...but you can get extra goodies that won't be included in the retail offering. |

Isn’t Keltuss Horned helmet supposed to go on top of his staff like the original goat head?

Like the "Skeletor", but the "He-Man" head sculpt looks horrid, imho. Would prefer long blonde Fabio-style hair on a Schwarzenegger face.
This head looks too dwarf-like too me. Otherwise both really are good "realistic" takes on the characters.

DC figs have stunk since these guys did the DCUC line. That was the last time I bought 6' scale DC figures.

New to forum. Been visiting/following since TAs beginning tho. Just got around to becoming member. I Been collecting figs longer than some of youve guys been alive...and ive been waiting for a long time for some Co. to make a full 'Greek God's line complete from Hercules to Zues to athena etc., much similar to what DCU Gods of War line did or Boss fight studio...but much better. Full poseable and in 6" scale. Then maybe Asgardian line, etc. I think this 4 horsemen Co. would be perfect to do just that. Juss sayin'

Thanks man, appreciate it. They are just well done pieces, I'm happy to have em in the rotation. Have some more on order too, trying to get at least 1 per round.
