After months of reading DC comics, Dave Vonner just posted a very Marvel-ous sketch. "Can't get the Spiderverse (movie) out my MIND!" he exclaimed. Wondering if his mind is also aware of Mattel's bid on the Marvel license?
If your on Instagram ask Vonner if he can do this follow-up sketch = "What If: MattyCollector makes a Hellicarrier?" |

MattyCollector Helicarrier
Just re-size the film Helicarrier's "digital assets" to 3.75 inch scale. Get veteran Vonner to add detail with his famous Toy Biz level ZBrush digital sculpting. Of whose new software adds ever more crazy detail than this pic (below). Present exciting plan to Disney / Marvel for the latter's coveted license in 2020, |

MattyCollector Top Gun 2020 Carrier
Bobby Vala a frustrated G.I.Joe fan can use the same Vonner Helicarrier base, and create an entirely new toyline, too. He can even make a better laser-scan "Skystriker" and "Dragonfly" (see below). All thanks to Mattel's seeking more movie licenses, like the Top Gun 2020 sequel. Last edited by Super Joe; 12-29-2018 at 09:32 AM.. |

He definitely always had Marvel in mind. As he said, he can't get it out of his mind. Despite dozens of DC comics he tried / buy each month, he still has a passion and care for Marvel.

Hi, everyone. Ive been a huge Marvel fan since the X-Men series in the 90's, which segwayed into comics and figures through the years and even found a positive outlet for my creativity in customizing for the last 10 years or so. Im nowhere near as versed in some of the marketing techniques and company differences as some of you, but it's all interesting stuff, especially since Hasbro and Mattel have seemingly ditched 3.75 products, which is my main interest. I have lots of customs I'd like to share and join in the conversations if the group is cool with it. Not to get too personal, but I'm stationed overseas currently and struggling in both career and marriage. This is the only thing at the moment in which I find solace and that I'm actually good at. I would really appreciate if I could be a part of the group. Thanks!

...and @Derek in case you missed it earlier, i'll repost some alternatives for larger than MU Juggernauts but under the ML Bulldozer height question.
Although they aren't super-articulated, the older ToyBiz 5" X-Men/X-Men Evolution Juggernauts may work better than 6" ML for height and are even helmetless. |

Appearing in past Hellicarrier scenes (and even future Top Gun 2020 scenes) is the brand new F-35 Lightening jet. An item that can be shared between both potential Mattel 3.75 toylines. Goose's son shall rock a classic 80s thrash metal call sign, "Slayer." And, a really familiar moustasche!

MCU's own jet pilot, Captain Marvel, has a cat with a homage of a call sign, "Goose." We can only wonder what easter egg Top Gun 2020 may give back to the MCU! Maybe have a cat named Carol?

F-16 Falcon jets in MCU's Captain Marvel movie and similar F-16s at the real life Top Gun school. Yet another 3.75 item Mattel can share across 2 toylines,

Just like DC gave a license for Mattel to do 6 inch figures and a separate license for Funko to do 3.75 inch figures, maybe Marvel can do the same?
Marvel can give a license to Hasbro to do 6 inch figures and a separate license for Mattel do 3.75 inch figures. Mattel already has Dave Vonner and perhaps soon Bobby Vala (both worked on Marvel 3.75 inch figures). Both companies can then concentrate on making a quality toyline, for both scales. |
