Yeah I ordered the Mossman and Stinkor tributes. That green skeleton is vaguely Skeletorish so I got him too. I'm still hoping they eventually do tributes to Teela and Beast Man since those are really the only 2 main characters they haven't done yet. Well Man at Arms too if you don't count their goblin version of him.

Going to get an all-in. I wish we got some dwarves in that poll. Hopefully next time or maybe some dwarves in the next new wave, which will be out 2022 I bet haha.

Why the heck isn't Mattel suing these guys? They're clearly ripping off MOTU characters and selling for profit.

Because they aren't exact copies of existing characters. They're homages with enough differences to pass legal muster. And since these guys are also working on Masters of the Universe Origins figures for Mattel, I'm sure they know where the line is.

Mattel is definitely aware of Four Horsemen so I'm sure they're aware of these homages. They offer the homage figures once and don't seem like they'll ever reprint them in the All Stars waves or anything down the line. They have typically done 2 of these homages as Power Con exclusives the last few years from what I remember.

i watched an interview with one of the Horsemen (Pee Boy, Tea Bag, Gee Spot, something like that) not too long ago and I believe he said that the folks at Mattel like and even encourage the homages. After all, the Horsemen and Mattel have been working together for decades.
Anyone know what the shipping charge is like for 1 figure? I am really tempted by Faux-Moss. Last edited by SpasticPlastic; 04-02-2021 at 11:28 AM.. |

Four Horseman have had a working relationship with Mattel for around 20 years at this point so safe to assume they were given Mattel's approval for these homages.

Thanks. I was going to do that but I'm not a registered user. I think I'm going to skip him, as cool as he is. That's a very deep rabbit hole I don't need to jump down.

Because of space issues, I'm trying to scale back my collecting somewhat and getting into Mythic Legions would absolutely blow the doors off that idea. |

I think the green skeleton dude might be a much more subtle Scareglow homage. What do you guys think?
