Are those teases at other figures to come? Dang, just realized that's the old McFarlane line lol.
Kinda wish I still had some of NECAs Dead Space toys as filler monsters lol. |

On one hand I really want a MacReady figure but on the other I'm pretty sure that NECA will get around to doing him with the flamethrower and dynamite, maybe the blood test too. I'm definitely curious to see what versions of the Thing itself they get around to.

Great pics! I think the open mouth sculpt is the most like Kurt, some of your shots with that one give it a terrific likeness. I hope I can find this guy soon!

Thanks for posting these, but I was curious why you didn't take photos of the alternate heads with the hair?

Those don't swap out, but during production, it looks like they will be able to swap those parts as they are assembling the figure for different looks.

One of your best-ever photo shoots, Joe. You can tell you really went the extra mile.
I'm also glad to see that the old McFarlane Thing figures seem to scale well with the MacReady, since I already own them all. But it's a shame you didn't have the Blairmonster, as I would have liked to to have seen how he compares size-wise as well. I kinda get the feeling that figure runs a little small, however. Also, does the lantern actually light up, or is that just Photoshop? The first promo pics had the lantern lighting up as well. |

One person cleared out the stock near me. Freaking pathetic.
Awesome photos…..I’ll have to live through your pics until the wide release. |

Aaand that's why I don't wanna wait for the NECA vendor to come in whenever they have time and stock Macready, I'm going the morning the truck comes in and asking someone to get me a Macready from the back. If they say no, well, I tried!

Throw on some khaki pants and a red shirt and just go grab one yourself and maybe a second for another person ( hint hint haha )

We know the scalpers will wet themselves for this one and the bay will run wild. Good luck everyone.

He looks damn good, awesome gallery, you nailed the lighting.
I think the likeness looks fine, it depends on the angles I guess. It looks like they spared no expense on this release. The accessories all look amazing and I'm so thankful they used fleshtone plastic rather than painted skin. I can already imagine the pictures I can do with him. So many display options. The only mod I can see myself doing is possibly replacing that label with a proper J&B one. |

Trevor Grove posted photos of his head sculpts with the hair on the alternate heads, so yeah it'll be detachable. |

They are sculpted in a way that NECA can change those pieces out in production to create alternate head sculpts.

Hopefully NECA does more than the one character. They've worked with Keith David recently so hopefully that means we can get a Childs figure. Hoping they do some of the creatures. Those McFarlane ones look great but the prices ... damm those prices.

With no actor licensing I absolutely expect some creature packs. I'm sure the line will have at least two more MacReadys, hopefully Childs and anyone else they can license lol.

I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time, I'd rather not spend the rest of this summer WAITING FOR MORE THING TOYS.
I want a shelf with enough toys and props to recreate that scene so bad lol. |
