Silverhawks is something I have a weird distant nostalgia for even though I never owned any of those toys as a kid.
I know it was a long shot to think they'd use vac metal, but I'm still interested to see the full figures and the final price points for these. |

They should be priced at $55 each, the current price for their Ultimates.

Ugh, why couldn't literally any other company have done these. Super 7 sucks b/c they are WAY overpriced for what they deliver. It's at best a $25 figure and they'll ask double.

Individual deluxe style and larger figures will be a higher price. That's to be expected. I was talking in general, most of the figures should be $55.

Really excited for these! And absolutely thrilled Super7 is doing these. I love their Ultimates figures.

I never really watched this as a kid, but I remember watching Battle of the Planets (Gatchaman). Now THOSE would be some figures I could get on board with--especially since there's a massive push to bring back 80s toys right now.

Storm collectibles are making those figures. They already showed a prototype for Mark/Ken.

I'm still looking forward to the full reveal. But the color is pretty disappointing if it's final. They're named Silverhawks. Not BlueGreyhawks, dammit.

Yeah I am a little too. I was expecting, at the least, metallic painted figures. But, I guess a good enough reason for S7 to double dip by doing show and toy specific releases like they did with Voltron.

Looking forward to this line as a further expansion on MOTUC and Thundercats. I just hope they eventually get the license to do Bravestarr too. In my head canon, all these properties exist in the same universe on different planets, so getting them all in the same compatible style just makes that personal canon work better.

I don't like the $55 price, but for $45 I have been extremely happy with the Super7 TMNT figures so far and am still buying them at $55.
They'd already said several times these wouldn't be vacmetal, I anticipate they'll also do Reaction figures and I would be they would do vacmetal on that. I'm honestly surprised at how much arm articulation they've got going on there, you guys know vacmetal would look frigging terrible on that after minimal movement. Paint comes off on joint parts as it is, vacmetal wouldn't have a chance. |

Vac metal hasn't been a thing with modern action figures for a while now (other than some bandai kits and egg attack figures) but really thought they were going to go with some kind of metallic paint like they did for their God skeletor and v2 Voltron. Or like the recent Hasbro Destro and silver surfer.

I wish Super 7 do a magnetic attach mask. That would be an awesome feature

There's always Molotow Chrome. At least the color would be right for Quicksilver but not for the rest of the team. Sure, you can't handle it rough after, but it does look good as a display piece. Here's Hasbro's Phasma chromed.
Thundercats, Silverhawks, now they have to make Galaxy Rangers and Bionic Six then the world will be a better place. |

Out of the 3 80s animal-themed super-shows, Silverhawks has got to be my favorite, probably due to how innovative those toys were with their action gimmicks. The sculpt and engineering on those were really ahead of their time.
Kinda sad they're getting the 4HM cartoon treatment, instead of maybe the Origins treatment, but still excited to see how they turn out. |

I thought Brian referred to their Voltron Figure as an illustration of how the metal paint application could be done without resorting to vacmetal. These pictures we're looking at now are pretty rough, so I don't think they're necessarily indicative of what the final figures will look like.
