@firmpulse
It was a combo of J. Buscema and Byrne that made me a fan of Surfer. Between back issues of the titular 1st book/vol and the character's appearance in both the Defenders and the FF, I became a dedicated fan. However, after volume 3 of the Surfer hit in the late 80's, a book that served as a formal introduction of Norrin to my generation, I was hooked and he became my favorite hero edging out Spider-Man. Not to slight Marshal Rogers, but I was so very happy when Ron Lim joined the book. He captured the majesty and raw might of the power cosmic, while also highlighting Surfer's grace and maneuverability. All that said, you're right to be a fan of Tradd. I haven't enjoyed the look of a Surfer story as much as I did with BLACK since quite possibly the Lim days. Renato Arlem did some cool stuff and I liked Allred's book, but Tradd's art made me excited again to digest a well written Surfer Story. The coloring was off the chain too... |

Wow she's nice. Don't know if we'll get to that point though sadly.

Not really interested in this particular character, but it's nice to use this as a look into the future as far as Hasbra female buck goes.
Looks like an unmodified Tygra buck, with the much better limb proportions, arm articulations and of course pinless joints. Wish they'd retire those hands though. They're so generic and overused at this point. Or at least give us alternate hands moving forward. Oh and those wrinkly shoes. Takes the Spidey feet and just downsize them. It's not that difficult Hasbro. |

Yeah I had thought doing 14,000 minimum might be ok if they did the tiers at 1,000 increments. At 2,000 increments I think we'll barely get the Silver Surfer (woohoo, exciting /s). Pretty ridiculous IMO. I can't see anyway they hit 20,000.

Also, I will laugh my ass off when this ends up being "brownish marbled plastic" instead of gold paint if this actually gets made at all. Yeah, typical Hasbro, just likes dipping the toe in on something like "making a new female body"--we'll go this far, but that's it, don't want to take too many risks |

Considering what they have done with the females in the Lightning Collection, why can't we have an crunches and toroso joints on female legends? The female upper toroso joints have such little range on the female figures.

I want to back it but they destroyed the excitement with unrealistic stretch goals. They got greedy on this one imo.

Hopefully they just haven't loaded online retailer orders yet into the backer numbers and we might actually be closer to the 12000-13000 mark by now. If that's the case, I can see them just barely hitting 16000 for Nova by the end of the run, but I doubt we can reach 18000-20000. This isn't an army builder like the Sentinal so they are crazy if they think they'll hit the same numbers the Sentinal got.

100% concur! Hasbro cheaped out when making the Surfer & of all the bucks they could pick, they picked the buck that is for characters in the 5'10, 5'11 or 6ft range. Surfer is 6'4! This is the Silver Shrimper that Hasbro gave us. So Hasbro needs to redo him on a slightly bigger buck! In all the multivereses in existence is the Surfer the same hgt as Spiderman & shorter than the Torch, both whom are listed as being 5'10! |

Not to beat a dead horse too much, but 14K really was awfully presumptuous of Hasbro. The Frankie Raye reveal doesn't seem to have significantly accelerated the backer count, either. With just under four weeks to go, I'm still confident we'll hit the minimum. However, with just under four weeks to go, I'm not confident any tiers will be unlocked. That would be a shame. She really does look great. More Heralds like Air-Walker and/or Firelord would have also been awesome. But to be honest, I wasn't expecting Hasbro to throw in more than 2 figures anyway. That's just not been their MO with any Haslab, and it was almost a given that one tier would be a Surfer rehash.

I kind of feel like selling off all my Marvel Legends women and just waiting for the inevitable remakes of all of them with this new female buck. |

While their Star Wars ones are still ancient, MMPR and GI Joe seem to be doing great with female figure design and articulation.

Nice to see this made it. I’m seeing on other sites that “people in the know” are saying this is actually based on the upcoming MCU galactus. If true I’m more of a yes. I really want that surfer though since I missed him.

It's Adi Granov design from the comics with a bit more detail. I strongly doubt Marvel/Disney would allow Hasbro to do this with an upcoming design. I doubt they would want a potential failed Haslab be associated with it. It would make more sense to do the Haslab after the MCU debut. |

Glad it made it. I put an order in a few weeks ago, I might get another before it closes.

Very glad not only to see this getting funded, but to also see the numbers going up consistently where the Nova tier may actually get met as well!

Wow, it’s gotten a heck of a push the last few days. Hopefully we get Atleast the first stretch goal.

Well let's see if it reaches the second. At this post it needs 875 backers.
