A word to the wise. If you purchase this do not grab your SO like Vicki Vale and ask them how much they weigh. It will not go in your favor.

Props are cool and all, but when do we get some 89/91 Batman figures in 6 or 7 inch scale?

They were able to do '89 Batman in 7" scale as a TRU/NECA store exclusive but it was initially part of a dvd-combo deal before they later did the figure on its own (still exclusive). It's pretty safe to assume that as the current license-holder for the scale McFarlane isn't keen on letting NECA provide them with competition.

Yeah those Keaton figures were pretty easy to get a few years back, not sure what its like now. Also looks like they still have rights to do the quarter scale Keaton figures since that and Catwoman are getting a rerelease soon.

Oh, dammit. I've been waiting since like the movie came out for this to be made mass market, so maybe I'm being overly picky, but this is actually worse than their '89 batarang. The proportions are completely messed up
Plus, this isn't a grapnel gun! This is the speargun configuration. I feel like dropping the reel function and letting it snap in two (perhaps include the bola and folded grappling hook as bonus attachments) would have been sooo much cooler |

Just got the 89 movie grapnel at Target last night. Priced @ $14.99. Awesome replica abit smaller than the animated one.

Today I bought both the 1989 Grapnel and Animated Series Grapnel at Target for $15 a piece.
I don't know what is with the pricing as the Animated Series Grapnel is available at online retailers for $40.00 |

Yeah, there's clearly an error in the system with the price. I hit up my local Targets last week and was told they're never getting them in...
Actually, I was told they hadn't arrived yet before another employee blurted out that they were sold out and didn't know when the next shipment was coming in, then they quietly conferred and agreed that the first shipment wasn't coming to their store and there would be no other shipments. All very impressive, considering they didn't even look at their system :/ |
