But Batman isn't selling, at least in my area. My stores have been clogged with multiple Batman figures just collecting dust.
I don't know what King Shazam is, but my Walmarts have like 10 Joker looking Robins on their pegs along with a few Batmans and Supermans. Other pegwarmers include Batgirl, the first Joker they did, helmetless Shriek, helmetless Peacemaker, Hawk Girl Wonder Woman cosplay, Wonder Woman 84, Blight, a really grundgy looking Superman, and JLU Flash.

Based on what you just posted, you must live in an economically depressed part of the country where no one is buying anything, or your town's inhabitants hate DC products. The "Joker looking Robins" have been sought-after items for months (unless you're referring to Jokerized Nightwing, but even he's scarce these days).

Another issue is how bad some of the figures are proportionately. Like my stores have a Flash figure that looks like he is Bane wearing a Flash costume due to how large his muscles are. Flash is not supposed to look like he is 400 pounds of muscle. Fair enough, but honestly, I'm speaking for myself, not others. Which is funny because any time I'm at a store and a parent is with their kid looking at a Legend or MacFarlane figure I often hear, "That toy is too expensive, go with one that is cheaper." King Shazam is well the only Shazam figure in the line. Pegwarmers Some are pegwarmers and other have just been release but they come in like cases of 8. Blight/JLU FLash just came out so it's not pegwarming. But if you still have WW84 figures, they are either pegwarming or have just been forgotten that the stores don't even know they still have it. But Walmart's inventory is a mess. I think a ton of locations just have a backlog of stuff they were supposed to get but didn't. While other locations got all the boxes in the city of state. You'd think ZSJL Red/Blue Superman was a pegwarmer in my city until you realize only one location got them. |

For some of these issues, if the WB/DC is unhappy. They could actually just step in and advise them to do something different.
If there's too many Batman figures - the WB can just tell Mcfarlane to use less Batman. Head Sculpts of real actors - WB could actually provide 3D scans to Mcfarlane. Disney certainly steps in when it comes to their properties with Hasbro. |

They're a company that likes money, and the unpleasant reality (at least to fans of other characters) is that he sells circles around every other DC property. |

There was an interview last year with one of the brand reps and he straight up said WB are a major reason there are so many Batman figures in this line.

IMO the strength of Marvel Legends is the group shot... Legends has lots of different bad guys and lots of lower tier characters and lots of almost fully complete teams. If you judge each Legends figure individually their is a lot left to be desired, but if you judge them on how a bunch of them look on a shelf... they cannot be beaten IMO at their pricepoint. Also I like how Hasbro does their headsculpts more than any other company.

^ Take for example the Legends Captain Carter headsculpt... that is one of the best headsculpts I have ever seen IMO. Also... I am mostly a 3.75" collector and so I was mostly thinking about that. I think Arcane on Netflix is amazing and wanted to buy some of their 4" figs, but the headsculpts by Spinmaster are atrocious IMO. Same reason I don't buy any of the 4" DC Spinmaster figs like the Wonderwoman or Harley Quinn... ugly headsculpts. Then there are the Bandai figs... again... horrible headsculpts. Neca is good, but I don't consider those in the same category as Hasbro. SH Figuarts have nice headsculpts too, but those are imports.

Only "pegwarmers" near me are that Todd McFarlane Wonder Woman.
Literally 10 pegs that are 6 figures deep of ONLY that figure at my two nearest Targets. And those Batman 66 figures. My God those things haven't moved. They're literally falling on the floor they have so many in the "collectibles" section ear electronics. I counted thereabouts 15 each of Riddler, Batman, Robin, and Joker. |

As for Batman 66, McF should've made them in the same 7-inch scale as the main Multiverse line. These are pretty much the only action figures that I buy, and I'm not going to mix and match scales.

Target was doing fine here, even getting the new Three Jokers wave. Then the Todd Woman Apocalypse came.
Kind of like the Eternals sold when the movie came out, got replaced once by NWH, and now those are replaced with...Eternals. Oy. |

Stuff is weird everywhere. My Targets are finally stocking Funko Mystery Minis for Suicide Squad and Eternals (after both movies bombed at the box office). My Walmarts are stocking the Star Wars masks that were presumably meant for Halloween.

This has to be one of the ugliest figures I have ever seen. It is proportionally strange as hell.

I think "The Batman" figures are only going to look good with other "The Batman" figures. But really I'm ok with that.
