That looks pretty good, looks like a fun build.

What's on everyone's mind: "Would my classified Joes fit on that?!?"

Model kit culture is still very much prevelant in Japan, of course they'd do something like this.

Very tempted to get this, but I just can't commit until I actually see the parts as they come out of the box and know just how much time will be needed for the build.

dalong.net does too but,I don't know if they have any good smile kits. Or just check YouTube for builds of the ed-209 kit they released recently. That would give you a decent approximation of what to expect. |

First impression: more accurate than NECA's, even if it wouldn't scale with their figures, but the inclusion of Ripley helps alleviate that problem (and an included figure makes the price killer!) and the kit format will make it a whole lot easier to correct anything amiss
Can anyone make out what the not-Caterpillar logo says? |

It's rare for a model kit company to produce finished pieces for sale, but this kit looks like a simple afternoon build so it should be a snap to put together... quite literally, as these things snap together without glue

Still quite interested to see how this pans out. I do have the NECA scaled one which makes me have pause and think. Maybe if the Ripley looked better (facesculpt wise) I'd have been more swayed but its a bit 50/50 for me at the moment. Makes me wonder if this means Good Smile will be making a few Aliens and Predators as well? I'll save my thoughts for later on that topic if it does happen. |
