Still waiting on Batman with a normal sized head... tired of pin-head Bruce Wayne figures from Todd.

Two closed fists........was it that hard Mcfarlane?
Like was there screams of suffering in the office? Another thing is one of the pictures for Jace, the hand isn't pegged in all the way. Look I know mistakes happen, but no one caught that? Well it's more Batman. I might pick up Jace just to get the fists and overall I like the design. But I think I'm jumping off the Batman train until they address my common complaints. Seems the first half of 2022 will be very Batman heavy. |

Well, I have been wanting figures of these designs ever since I saw them revealed, but the sculpts feel like they're slipping here... kind of too round, Next Batman should be more angular and sharp... Will still get them, but could have been better. NOW GIVE US ANDY CURRY AND YARA FLOR!!!!!

Dark Detective Batman doesn't often have the coat on, so I'll have that as a maybe - but Jace in his Future State outfit is a definite buy. Fucking adore that design, and the character's pretty cool too.

I wish they would roll that out to every figure. I like a lot of the sculpts but the limited leg articulation especially the practically useless (and ugly) ankle articulation joint have seriously limited my purchases. The figures are just frustrating to pose.

The diapers bother me more than anything else. The Fortnite figures were designed so that the legs could be positioned perpendicular to the body (90 degree angle), directly forward. The Mortal Kombat and DC figures often have diapers that force the legs to be spread open, which makes them tough to pose on vehicles or furniture.

I can't say for 100% sure, but it seems like some of the recent product shots (on white) have a slight white balance issue. Leaning towards the cool side.
I adjusted it here based on what I think it should be, but no way to tell exactly what's correct without the figure in hand. That being said, I don't think this Batman suit will be that blueish once it drops. Have to wait and see tho. |

Wow, what a shocking and not at all predictable twist. *yawn* Eww. That's not been my experience. Especially not the ankle articulation, which I vastly prefer over the style that Hasbro favours.

At this point though, after years of messing with Hasbro Legends style and McFarlane ball joint style, I think I'd lean towards Hasbro. Hands should peg in, no ball at all. Feet - I need to be able to plant the foot, and then adjust the angle from there. With these tight, specific ball joints that can't be done. It's a two handed operation. On each foot. Which then may not line up when you put it back down, which means round 2 of fiddle. Repeat. Sole of feet on ground, both, then adjust angle of leg & rotate, all with downward pressure. Two fingers keeping toes in place, downward pressure on torso, move one hand to legs if needed for knees and thigh swivel (if present). Really, if current tech from any company is all that's available - I think I'd choose what Mattel is doing on their Masterverse line for MOTU. Good balance of visuals and functionality. Examples: Masters of the Universe Masterverse Wave 1 – Revelation – In Hand Gallery! |

I'd much prefer Hasbro's style of joints on these figures, not only is the articulation on a Marvel Legend more fluid, it meshes with the sculpt better (those Figuarts-style balljoints can go burn). I'm excited for trenchcoat Batman, it's a nice comic adaptation of the Knightmare suit from BvS.

Prior to the McFarlane DC line, I didn't really collect action figures. I bought a few here and there but was usually disappointed by how hair and capes prevented decent head articulation.
I liked the articulation that DC Collectibles used for the Batman vs TMNT line, though. I was able to get some fun poses out of them, and they were able to stand without bases. (I hated the swap outs, though, as it felt like the pegs were going to break every time I tried to attach a piece.) I'm okay with ball joints for wrists and ankles, but the ratchets/notches that McFarlane uses hinder posability as much as they may provide stability.

Nopers. Hasbro's GI Joe Classified has the best articulation scheme on any 1/12th figure on the market today. Todd's BS ugly as sin ball "hey look! I'm a joint and don't blend in to any figure and am damn near impossible to use" joint results in a figure without the ability to stand flat footed AND rotate. It sucks.

This line keeps swinging and missing for me. More Batmans. More figures based on current/recent comics.

Valaverse Action Force figures take the throne at their price point.
It takes all that works about Gi Joe at the moment and makes it better. More range and smoother joints. It makes what Mcfarlane's attempts kinda a joke. There's no technical reason Mcfarlanes figures can't have the range of articulation with the clean looking joints. That Mcfarlane does more sculpting makes that worse. |
