That’s my other issue. The quality control is getting worse as the price increases. More than the paint issues, I’m frustrated with paying more for crappy headsculpts (Sue Storm, Sabertooth) and missed details (Havok’s collar).

Over on the Fwoosh, Dorkside says that another MSRP increase is coming. $24.99 per figure, which is officially my limit. I’m out except for my top ten and around fifteen other characters hovering around the outside of it. $22.99 meant becoming more selective, but man… that extra few dollars adds up fast with the volume of figures they’re pumping out.

The price increases are really gonna make a lot of people drop the line unless they start adding multiple head sculpts, 3-4 assortments of different hands and any weapons FX the character rates to come with. I don't collect MCU or MIB/MIP, only classic comic based appearance & only of those I like & have to add to my collection, I mostly cherry pick 1-2 or maybe 3 figs per wave so my entire figure purchases for 2021 was around 25 figs. So far for 22' it looks to be even less. Unless it's a must buy/pre-order figure like classic Ultron, I just wait & see if they go on sale or clearance later on. At $24.99, my figure selection is gonna get even smaller. I only need 2 more classic X-Men & I'm done with the good guys on the team. I need classic FA Banshee, Angel in Blue/white or Red/White. X-Villains is down to remaining members of the classic BOEM & Reavers. That classic FA Sabretooth they just made better come with a better alternate headsculpt or else I'm gonna have to put the ol school TB Sabe's head on it. Whomever approved that head sculpt should get fired. They couldn't just have done this statue's head sculpt???

I agree. I am not sweating the price increase. They tried it with the Eternals and the X-Men AoA waves. I never paid full price except for Ajak and Thena. It averaged out to $17 a figure. I will pre-order what I must have and will pay attention to Target, Walmart, Amazon and Dorksidetoys.com sales. Not a bad thing to cut back.

For the 20th Anniversary, there will be a figure reveal every month on the 20th.

Yeah, the lack of quality control is out of control. I've gone through FOUR of the new pink ranger for the Power Rangers line and had to settle for the least sucky one despite the price increase. Not thrilled.

I agree that the QC seems to becoming more and more of an issue. $25 a figure is a lot. I can't say for sure that it'll cause me to quit buying, but I will cut down what I buy at that price. That's pretty nuts.

I think Target's ability to block sites like Popfindr and Brickseek comes and goes.
I'm not sure how often you've used Popfindr but one change they've made in the last couple of months is that you now use the TCIN to search for figures instead of the DPCI. You can find the TCIN in the details section of the Target listing, a couple of lines above the DPCI number.

^ Did you copy and paste the TCIN number exactly? If you copy and paste and leave a blank space before or after the number it will show the inventory has been blocked pop up. That's just something I've noticed anyway.
According to Popfindr no Retro Spidey wave or BATs/AVs at my Target... just 0s across the board. I think I read somewhere that this Sunday is gonna be when they finish their toy reset though. |

^ If you go look at the actual product on the Target website... so say for example Retro Black Spidey: https://www.target.com/p/marvel-lege...n/-/A-84155455
You scroll down a bit and click "show more" and it will show you the TCIN number right above the DCPI and UPC codes... which for Retro Black Spidey is... TCIN: 84155455 Then you just use that number for Popfindr... I don't think DCPIs work on Popfindr anymore. |

Found a lone Shocker figure at my local Tarjay. Great looking figure & love the open hands/fist hands.

Shocker: "Stand still insect"!
Spidey: "Ahh, that'll be a hard no, I like to breath". |

In good news, one of the Targets that claimed they had Shocker and Hammerhead instock actually did have one each.
And that was it. No other store had either of them nor anyone else. I opened them both and first it is great to have a Shocker that doesn't have two left legs!! Secondly, he puts the old Shocker to shame. Hammerhead is badass too. I was originally planning to just display him with the tommy gun Chameleon came with, but I really like the fist hand that has the brass knuckles on it, so I might just keep him with the bat and that fist. I was surprised to see that the head he came with is NOT the same one that came with the Chameleon body. Overall, both are great and were definitely worth the $23 I paid for them. Very minute paint issues as well. YAY!!! Quote:
What type of stand did you use though? I've never seen one that goes across with a connector piece in the middle.

It looks to me like a stand holding a clear straw which has the effects on it. I could be wrong.

I've never seen one that goes across with a connector piece in the middle. I used a solid transparent plastic straw for the Shocker power effects, just drilled a tiny hole under it & use the stand that came with Godzilla to hold his atomic flame breath blast FX. |

I really wish Hobgoblin had at least a non-tattered cape and a better glider.
