Pass for me (not a fan of cel shade) but I hope these are reasonable alternatives for people that missed out on these characters. This is likely only the beginning of this line of figures.

Normally I'm not a fan of the cel-shaded look, but seeing how well NECA's TMNT toon figs have turned out has warmed me up to the idea. I hope these look just as nice in-hand. I think my only major complaint across the board is Mr. Sinister's lack of accessories, particularly alternate hands.
Also, from the Pulse product description: Quote:
Look for more Marvel Legends X-Men action figures inspired by the classic animated series, including Wolverine, Storm, and Jean Grey (Additional figures each sold separately.

Wolverine and Sinister look great, and Jubilee's glasses are amazing, however her figure IMO could have used more shading. As is, it just looks like she got some mud on the top of your coat.
Can't wait to see future releases for this line and hope maybe the release cel shaded versions of other figures (like the FF and Iron Man). |

I like that Jubilee has the least shading as I can use her with the standard ML stuff.
I'm guessing that Jean is gonna just be the ponytail version. Which will be great for those of us who missed that 3 pack. |

Maybe you can rub off the dark sections with some thinner or something... 2D inspired cell shading on 3D action figures is such a weird idea... I wonder who thought of it and if anybody else in the room said no that is a dumb idea.

In some angles they look good, others the shading looks really awful. I think for the price I'm going to end up passing on these though. Outside of some minor nitpicks, these just aren't worth buying when the versions I already own are solid enough.

Those Wolverine head sculpts are so good looking. If it wasn’t for the shading I’d get it just for the heads. What a shame

I doubt Hasbro is going to let those heads (and hands) go to waste by being used solely on an animated version.
