It has a new cape, but the figure seems the same.
This thing came out 7 years ago, I don't have a problem with a reissue like that. That's ancient history in collecting, and it makes sense with all the prequel stuff available now. |

This has "floppy mess" written all over it, how did the OG fair?

Caution to anyone considering to order this, I have the OG exclusive from 10 years ago, same figure, and the joints are not well designed. Ball joints in the arms are not secure and break apart easily. Interchangeable arms only use a simple straight peg to go into a cylinder hole into the torso, not even a ball joint, they fall off easily. The stand is the same oval shaped one they used with the OG, he is very top heavy and even with the stand will tip over. He cannot stand on his own. Without modding the torso there is no way for him to do hunched over poses that he's known for in RotS and Clone Wars. Honestly even the LEGO model kit is superior to this in articulation. The only thing going for it is the sculpt. This is easily the most problematic 1/6 scale figure I've ever had.

I kinda feel still OK with my old $30 one from when Hasbro used to do 12" inch figures with joints circa 2004.

Sideshow doing a live show, new paint on face, new cape fabric, and they said all the joints have improved poseability with updated joints. They said they looked at all the complaints/issues with the original and improved them.
The joints are much tighter and much more sturdy according to them. Also a new stand that is more durable that allows for more poseability. |

So this thing came out and all the reviews say it’s the same old parts from the original release. Joints are still bad, nothing’s changed.
