At this point there are various scales out on the market. So no one is really any more correct. Mcfarlane/Neca/Hasbro/Mattel/Bandai/Mafex/Jazwares/Super7 don't need to agree to one size(though it would be nice). Actually as I think about it, Hasbro might be the odd man out.

-------

• SUPERMAN JONATHAN KENT FUTURE STATE
• HUSH
• BATMAN WHO LAUGHS AS BATMAN IN CLASSIC BATMAN SUIT
• GODSPEED
• GHOST-MAKER
• RED ROBIN
• GRIFTER – INFINITE FRONTIER
• THE FLASH TV SHOW
• GREEN ARROW – DC GAMING
• ARKHAM KNIGHT – DC GAMINg

Now the above the remaining figures that were leaked. So at the moment we can expect one more Batman. Not counting the inevitable two pack rerelease.

So four non Batman but Bat family figures.
Future States/Infinite Frontier seems to be the thing for 2022.

Some more Injustice 2/Arkham stuff.

I assume Godspeed will be comic themed and not tied into the Tv Show version.

So after Batman. Superman/Flash seem to have more representation then others with heroes/villains.

I have both lines. Like them both.

However at least mcfarlane sculpt is on point. They are some 4h sculpts that look nothing like the comic character they are suppose to be. John Constantine being the first to mind. I just don't want my figures to break.

WRT figure scale: different sizes come and go, from WGSH to Pocket Heroes to Super Powers to Legends to McFarlane Multiverse... except for G.I. Joe Classified, I've been almost entirely in the 1/10 world for years so when McF starts making DC figures I like, I'll be pumped to have Keaton next to the T-800, which I haven't been able to do since Kenner in the early '90s!

I know cross-compatability with other companies' comic characters is a real big want, but the 1/12 (and for a while 1/18) folks have had all the fun for years! Let the 1/10 people get some heroes beyond Select for a bit.

Fair enough, as all my "experience" with VV has been secondhand, and with the figures not interesting me that isn't likely to change. The female Steel Brigade are a strong maybe, but that's about it.

I'm just salty because G.I. Joe Classified is 6" and it doesn't fit with my McFarlane, NECA, DC Direct/ Collectibles, Super7, or Diamond Select. I've had several boyhood fantasies about posing Cobra Commander and Lex Luthor playing chess and then having a steam together while Roadblock braids Batgirl's hair. I'm gutted.

If you're made of money, Super7's Ultimate Joes are looking pretty good! But yeah, Classified being so much shorter than NECA is a bummer for my BA Ladies display. Don't get me started on trying to get Baroness and Ripley to share a bike....

If McF makes more Batgirls, one of them has to be this:

Why are people complaining about McFarlane making too many Batman's when they have only been around for a couple of years. Come back in ten years time and tell me then you haven't got enough different characters!

And also, neca and DC Collectibles are all 7 inch scale and by far the more superior figures too Hasbro's rip off cheap repro's!

How on earth is anyone gonna say that marvel legends cheap rubbish is better than DC Collectibles or neca Ultimates?

I might get these for customs and parts swapping. As they are, I really don't care. They couldn't just promote Luke Fox from Batwing to Batman, they had to make another on of Lucius' kids to be Batman. I don't even like where the story is headed.

It's complicated.

Barbara and Jason almost got together during New 52.

They kissed in Three Jokers, and he left an "I love you" note on her door (but it fell off and got swept away by a janitor). It's not clear when the story takes place, though assuming Rebirth...

Jason's out of luck because Barbara and Dick are getting back together now.

Jason and Artemis went on a "date", but it was actually a ruse so that they could go somewhere to discuss work without anyone else seeing or hearing them. Subsequently, Artemis and Bizarro disappeared for a long stretch of time.

Well this last week just proved the problem. Last four announcements and three of them of them are Batman figures. The current two waved dropping right now in stores are Three Jokers and The Dark Knight Returns.

You should be able to see the Batman perception. There are plenty of BATMAN only figures(not Bat family). But you got like one Aquaman. Green Lantern has only two figures and it goes downhill from there.

The 10 year plan is just not acceptable.

Hasbro?
They are far more variety and consistency. Though some lines that QC in terms of paint apps is a horror story.

I'd say everyone needs improvements.

To each his own. I vastly prefer the additional range of movement that McFarlane's wrist/ankle joints provide (there are certain angles that you're never going to achieve with Hasbro-style X-axis only/Y-axis only wrists). Plus, they've been the standard in the 12" world for decades now, so manipulating them is second nature to me.

I'd also much rather have to futz with a McFarlane-style ankle joint for a few seconds longer than be stuck one of the approximately 50% of all Hasbro 1/12th-scale figures that are crippled by the absence of calf-swivels, like movie Deadpool, who is such a beautiful sculpt and yet is so frustrating to pose because any really deep stances inevitably end up looking extremely wonky (not to mention precarious) thanks to the inexplicable lack of calf swivels on that figure (even though his calves are actually separate pieces to begin with).

Pretty sure the Masterverse figures' feet are articulated exactly the same way as any current Hasbro figures. The ankle pin might be inserted in the foot at a slightly shallower angle, but that's about the only possible distinction I can think of.

I've only noticed this on the "White Knight" Azrael figure.

LOL no.

For one thing, Todd's figure's aren't 1/12th scale (except the Warhammer line, arguably).

For another, "Classified's" theoretically very good articulation scheme tends to come up short in reality via a number of failings: floppy feet (or feet rendered almost immobile by those stupid shin-guards that every other character seems to be stuck with), floppy waist joints, floppy elevator hips, torso articulation almost entirely canceled out by the included vests and harnesses (Flint's armoured LBV is a particularly atrocious example), hands with the wrist articulation in the reverse of the expected order (so Duke, Flint and Snake Eyes have pistol holsters on their right legs but come with right hands that turn on the X-axis while their lefts turn on the Y). McFarlane is much more consistent, I've found, particularly with regard to quality control. I've never yet had to pre-boil a McFig whereas this is something I have to do for virtually every Hasbro figure I purchase.

Very true.

Not so much.

Shriek might be my favourite DC figure that McFarlane has produced to date. I love how they three-dimensionalized the original (very vague) design into something more textured and detailed but still fitting the smooth-lined "Beyond" aesthetic.

Hasbro should honestly issue the same warnings that Vala has, IMO.

No, they're not "basic." They simply don't fall prey to that overdesigned "4K Ultra-HD" aesthetic that "Classified" suffers from, where every figure's costume has to have eight different textures sculpted on it because reasons.

I see it the other way around. I know my Valaverse money is going to support an independent business rather than a faceless, top-heavy mega-corporation.

And really, at this point, I am waaaaaaaaay more irritated by people griping about Vala than whatever feud Vala happens to be pursuing at the moment. It's not hard to find douchebags in this hobby (hello Justin Bell, Michael Crawford, Dan Larson, Michael French, Junkman, etc). As long as Bobby keeps his line rolling I could care less about the background drama.

Never could get into DCUC. Something about the figure's articulation (or lack thereof) and proportions just felt "off" to me.

So in other words it's OCD, as Babs said.

The ankle joints also don't work so well when McF designs boots that restrict movement, such as the two Gal Gadot WWs. It's too bad because they're otherwise beautiful action figures.
