Interesting theory - did you ever read what that time line was supposed to be? Are we talking 40 years or hundreds of years?

I think there's supposed to be roughly 20 years in between the first three episodes and the second. Luke was just born at the end of ep3 and was a late teen/early twenties in ep4.

Yeah, that's what I heard as well. I liked the Darth Bane books & wasn't sure if that's the New Republic era or not.

The Great Galactic War, occasionally called the Great War or the Sith–Republic War, was a war between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic between 3,681 BBY and 3,653 BBY, ultimately lasting for a total of 28 years. I'm not all up on the whole time line but I think this is supposed to be the second Sith war with the Republic, Darth Malgus is the major bad guy in this (he's the figure who looks a bit like Vader without the helmet.) I hear lots of theory's regarding the look and tech level of something happening so far in the past and none sound very satisfactory. But, at least they made figures for them, very cool looking! |

Dark Horse's incredible Dark Times series is set in this era- starting just months after the Empire is formed and the Jedi order destroyed. Man, it's great. Google the art on it and be amazed! |

Yeh i always thought it was funny that the star wars tech from thousands of years before the film was the same if not better than at the time of the films... but i guess if the galaxy has gone through great periods of devastation etc it makes sense how theyb wouldnt have advanced that much i suppose. not unlike the warhammer 40k universe.
Thanks for the tip about jace. he is by far the best figure there. all the gear he comes with is awesome. and for us customizers.... that armor...commander shepard mass effect 3 custom anyone?

Instead of mass Effect, I was thinking Masterchief!
Slayer or Onyx makes a nice head for 3.75 Masterchief. The tech thing used to bother me in SW but your idea nails it perfectly- so many wars mean that a lot of exotic advanced tech was actually lost...and a lot of what we see in the movies represents a lower level of technology that in times past. Probably why things look so used in SW- lack of production of new ships and tech have made people creative in keeping their tech running- like how the Y-Wings and Snowspeeders were stripped and converted for new roles. |

you know, i really like the looks of this 'amped' toy... it's very reminiscent of old modular building toys fro the 80s.
