I still remember seeing ARC Troopers for the first time in the Genndy Clone Wars and thinking they were so badass.

^ I remember seeing ARC Troopers for the first time in the CG Clone Wars show when Kamino got invaded... that's also when the defect Clone died though... so that was kind of a bummer episode even though it was cool seeing ARC Troopers in action.

Everyone was super badass in the Tartakovsky series, I remember my immense disappointment when RotS came out and Grievous turned out to be an ineffectual chickenshit compared to his introduction in the cartoon (Mace Windu crushing his chest in the final chapter does not account for how useless he his in the movie). I still have my toon-based ARC trooper on display, in hindsight I wished I'd picked more of that line up but at the time I was really just focusing on the main line.

He should be dead, dude's not gonna get a better death than at Boba's hands. Stone cold badass loner who was stuck in his ways getting offed by someone who used to be the same way but has since embraced community and grown from it is pretty thematically pleasing. Plus, do we really want to diminish his standing by assuming that he was prepared to do a fake prolonged death gurgle just to get Boba off his back? Finally there are too many fake deaths in Star Wars at this point, let's not keep adding to the stack.

Boba,"We got the ship."
Fennac,"We got the ship. It's going to be a MASSIVE help in the final battle. We can just drop concussion bombs on Pike HQ and call it a day." Boba,"No. I have a better idea." Fennac,"......." Boba,"We'll hire a bunch of teenagers that can't shoot worth a shit to buzz around the city on some souped up Vespas and be really REALLY irritating. Then I'll ride in on my Ranchor, trash the streets, level all the buildings and 'save' the town." Fennac,"......Fuck it. Why not." Last edited by firmpulse; 04-13-2022 at 07:37 AM.. |

"Open the Door"
One of their best figures in a LONG time. The soft goods cloak is a a mixed bag though. Its mostly terrible. The hood won't stay in place and it's incapable of being "posed" in a relaxed manner. It's definitely great for action poses, no doubt about it. But the hood, when up, still sucks in that situation too. It at least looks better than the beach towel they gave the last Vader's. But once again, it's strangely on the short side.

^ I always disliked soft goods... sometimes I just like to throw all my figures in a bucket of hot soapy water to clean them and I can't do that with any figure with soft goods attached or soft good accessories... those I gotta clean separately. Awesome pic for sure though!
