I wonder how they plan to salvage this tomorrow. It clearly isn't doing that well and I don't think making 2 very good stretchgoals which will most likely not be reached is helping.
Personally, if all else fails I would just move one of the planned stretchgoal into the box. Like, this needs good press and I would say "Here's the fully painted Rancor prototype and surprise, Malakili the beastmaster is now included as well, no stretchgoals needed" is the kind of news that would get people interested in the project again. |

For the Hero Quest Haslab, the final tier wasn't unlocked by the end of the campaign. Lo and behold a few months ago they announced it would be included anyway. |

I'm betting they extend the deadline by an extra 2 weeks soon out of desperation for this to at least reach its minimum goal.
A 100% brand new figure is crucial at this point to add any new interest to backing this. Malikili is our best bet, but of course so many were hoping for Oola as well since this would have been our only way to get a retail-banned figure like her. If a dust-weathered Jedi Luke repaint and some other cheap accessories is all we're going to get in the final 2 stretch goals, then Hasbro deserves for this lackluster effort to fail. A "Rancor Pit" Jedi Luke would have sold just fine at retail though and has no business being part of a stretch goal for this. Same for the Gamorrean on a special POTF retro card that only a fool would tear open to have that Gamorrean figure to pose with the Rancor. Hasbro could have helped promote this thing by saying they had plans to offer some 6" figures in 2022 or 2023 to compliment it as they did with the various TVC figures released at retail to compliment the Razor Crest and Sail Barge. Those several TVC figures weren't forced upon us a stretch goals for those Haslabs, so Hasbro shouldn't have wasted a spot for that Gamorrean repack or for a Jedi Luke if we're getting him too. I just REALLY hope these last 2 stretch goals are not as laughably pathetic as the first two were. Right now I'm more concerned about the GI Joe Skystriker getting backed in time. That set is more exciting for me at this point than the Rancor has ended up being. Last edited by ShabbyBlue; 11-18-2021 at 10:40 AM.. |

I remember saying the Rancor was a bad choice... that it probably wasn't popular enough... but then people here argued it was a good choice and was indeed popular.

So Salacious Crumb and Jedi Luke are the final 2 stretch goals. Could Hasbro be more out of touch with what people wanted?? I can't believe we couldn't even get a Rancor Keeper for this thing. I'll be amazed if it even reaches the 2nd stretch goal by the end of this. I can't possibly see it reaching Crumb and Luke when it's LOSING backers due to cancelations rather than gaining any significant momentum.
I still hope it at least hits the minimum goal since I DO want a Rancor in this scale, but I am severely disappointed in the complete lack of imagination and wasted potential with the stretch goals. The whole thing feels like a rush job at the last minute to come up with whatever existing sculpts they could throw in to offer incentive, rather than putting money into newly sculpted figures. There's no way we'll ever get a massive pegwarmer like Rancor Keeper or a Karen-triggering Oola at retail. This was our only chance for those 2 figures to get an alternative release in a kickstarter MADE for figures not ideal for retail, but instead those slots were wasted on Luke and a Gamorrean, both of which would have sold well as repacks at retail anyway and probably WILL get repacked in 2023 on ROTJ 40th anniversary tribute cards. And Crumb is another repack of a figure we already got in 2013 with the 6" scale Jabba! Last edited by ShabbyBlue; 11-19-2021 at 09:53 AM.. |

I was hoping someone here might have some insight on why Rancor Keeper wasn't part of it. I can sort of understand the Oola thing, but you'd think Rancor Keeper would have been a slam dunk tier.
Salacious Crumb is just a weird choice. |

Woof. Pitch forks and torches are a coming.
Logically speaking, the gammorean guard on that card, being deluxe would most likely retail for $40….at least. The Luke I could see on that card as much as $30 at retail. Crumb, probably $20. Right there is at least $90. Add in the accessories and backdrop…..and all these people saying they could print one themselves….the cost I’m sure would be high. That’s a lot of ink. I feel the value is there. I will most likely get this, but with 3 haslabs and the super7 turtle van….this is a rough time for collectors…..money wise. That said, they missed the mark. They should have done a rancor keeper and Oola. Hasbro might be shooting themselves in the foot with these tiers. Now we are all waiting to be “dazzled” by them. Edit….. The freaking numbers are dropping again. Dear lord. Last edited by Comedian; 11-19-2021 at 09:54 AM.. |

I am not hating on the project, but what is the point of an all new Luke sculpt with technical features and super upgrades if it comes on a card that is designed to be kept sealed. And if it's not, than what's the purpose of the special card?
Assumption is that Luke will hit normal mass retail eventually, along with all the others that people wanted here and aren't. I think the stretches should have been things only available here, and not specially carded if only here. Maybe toss in a loose Luke, Guard, and Crumb in a plastic baggie so you can actually use them with the Rancor. |

I am still however proud as a collector of the team because they put their heart into the project. |

Luke is obviously coming to the main line but still stupid. It?s lost almost 50 backers Since the stream ended. I?ve never seen these go down. |

Was about to back it again, then we had today's presentation...
Sorry, but this thing looks as cheap as its unlock-able tiers. If this gets funded, prepare yourselves to pay up to $50 for a simple black series figure... they are definitely checking the waters here. p.s. If it happens, hope someone KOs the crap out of it XD |

This is just a JOKE.
I just cancelled. I might jump in on the end but I immediately ordered in the beginning, I can't understand how they can drop the ball so badly. Repacks are not goddamn stretch goals. A stretch goal is something that wouldn't be made normally. They're going to sell that Luke and Guard again at the very least in other packages. I'm so goddamned annoyed. The all new sculpt figure is just Luke, who will most definitely be released mass retail at some point anyway.
Just say "Oh, we can't make Oola. It costs too much tooling to make a fat bald shirtless guy. We wanted to guys, buy we can't." |

I love him. I want him. This is the sculpt and paint that should have been shown during the initial reveal. But damn. Salacious crumb?! He makes no sense without Jabba. I'm really shocked that they didn't give us Malakili.
100% agree with this. The new Luke is nice and all, but he'll for sure be offered later on. Not to mention this version of the character has already been offered twice before. They've gotten better each time, but doesn't entice the same way an exclusive character would. |

Wow, the backers for today have gone negative over this shitshow. How the hell do you not make Oola and Malakili for this?

Glad Oola wasn't a part of it- like I said, she's a big enough character that she can find life at retail eventually, or even as a con exclusive. Saved me from dumping $350 just for one figure. Weird that Salicious Crumb got in there instead of mali- Rancor Keeper though. Maybe they plan on dropping the next Convention Exclusive set as a compliment to the Rancor (that will include figures that we thought "should" have been with the Rancor but as a seperate set...) I dunno... just trying to wrap my head around WTF they were thinking with these weird ass stretch goals

Lackluster paintjob, complete garbage stretchgoals, all tied up nicely with a bloated price tag.
Yup, this thing deserves to fail 100%. What the hell were they thinking with this. |

I kind of think this was the best chance to get the Keeper too. Is he really going to be part of a mass wave?
