They already fully revealed Raiden, though...why tease? Just give us release dates!

They usually "tease" stuff which will be put up for pre-order within a very short time.

So this is not a tease for a new reveal, but a tease for an upcoming solicitation

Hopefully Raiden comes with a stand that can support him in his torpedo move. Storm figures are quite hefty.

Great! Hopefully it’s soon...we need some more non-ninja MK characters!

I've said it before and i'll say it again. These effects make it worth having both the regular and the bloody variants. One to display normally and the other to display using or having fatalities used on them.

Yup... Raiden is bought. Easy. Really wish the vest was removable for mk1 purists, but he’d have to be bigger, too. Mk1 raiden was 7ft tall if I recall. His sprite was shrunk in subsequent games.

Regardless, this is the best looking figure Storm put out yet (bias... he was my main for years)

The figure looks awesome, there's no denying it. And that exploding head is the greatest accessory ever.

They are kind of announcing two figures here if you think about it...that Sub Zero in the promo shots has ice covered arms, which was never shown when the UMK3 Sub Zero was announced originally.

Another BBTS exclusive? Or an extra accessory that will be included with the original figure? Very interesting.

If it's like other Storm figures the vest is probably flexible plastic that could be removed. Just depends on what's underneath.

Yeah a BBTS exclusive was what I was thinking too. I guess it depends for me if he's going to have any extra accessories, I don't really need the ice arms otherwise. I just wish they'd announce them at the same time if that's what they're doing. I wish they'd just do bloody variants as their exclusive instead of ones with actual different accessories.

Was there a bloody variant of Sub-Zero announced anywhere? Or any of the cyber ninjas? Could be some Convention exclusives I guess.

I hope Raiden is available at SDCC!
well- April and March release dates- so I think I'll just grab both there. Storm shipping after release dates to the various on-line dealers is pretty late usually...

Yeah, they ship to asia first, then 3 months later they release to the rest of the world.

I was afraid I missed out on getting Guile, then 3 months later, he arrived at Megalopolis, bbts, and all the other online sites.

Figure looks great and I'll probably end up getting it but why are their pictures so. damn. dark?! Seriously, does their photographer not know how to adjust brightness or contrast?

Yeah they probably will, they had MK3 Scorpion at the last SDCC and he was announced in June! I remember last year Bluefin/Storm had a deal for older figures, buy 1 get one 50% off at the con. I'm not buying anything Storm related until SDCC. They produce the shit out of their figures (after MK1 Scorpion and SZ I guess haha), and unless it's a BBTS exclusive I'll get them in person.

Hmmmm…. Mk3 Reptile would be good. I was screwed over by a fly-by-night on MK1 Reptile. Hopefully he'll have a lot of similar accessories, just better molded like Subzero. MK1's Forceball just looked like Reptile is wrestling with Slimer.

It's not my ideal, but he's better than MK4-current Reptile.

What I really want for UMK3 Reptile is an acid puddle or pile with a partially melted limb (or skull) sticking out of it. Something that you can either stick on an opponent, or simply lay flat on the floor.

I wouldn't gripe at an articulated chimpanzee either...😂

A slime puddle with dissolving skull would be awesome!

Or a optional head with a bubbling, melting flesh off a skull, similar to Raiden's exploding head.
