Man….those are spectacular. The damn price is a tough pill to swallow.
$20 for what amounts to a McDonald’s happy meal toy. |

lol do people have to bring up the prices in EVERY ReAction thread? We get it, 90% of you think they're shit and overpriced.
These are great for what they are, great card art for display, and figures are good. They're not happy meal quality at all. |

Are these usually pretty easy to get? I'd love to pick up the regular and attack versions.

I love super7, but they are over-priced and their quality control on all of their lines is spotty at best. I have fortune in their product and this is a forum. Until I’m told by the moderators to no longer critique the value/price of a collectible I’m interested in, I will continue to voice my frustration at the insanely high price of super7 product. This comes from someone who bought every ultimate, the thunder tank and snake mountain…and yes a few reactions. If they were $10-$15 each, id buy them all. At $ 20, it needs to be real damn special. I would just add….if every super7 reaction thread has people complaining about the price…..maybe just maybe….a lot of collectors think they are are to high. Or maybe, just maybe...the same handful of people just won't shut up about it and feel the need to announce it in every thread

I will add…. I’m quite a big collector of many toy lines, there is very little I bat an eye at in pricing. Super7 however causes me a great deal of blinking. Last edited by Comedian; 08-05-2021 at 06:33 PM.. |

No. Seems pretty wide spread on most forums I see by many different posters. The same opinion of “ I’d like these but they are to overpriced.” I do appreciate your 12th post to inform another member to “shut up” on a differing opinion on a forum that discusses….differing opinions.

Haha, someone here could probably make a Reaction appreciation thread I suppose...I am one of those that always questions the price on these things, but obviously people do buy them up...

I didn’t say they are shit. The universal monsters,Simpsons Halloween etc…Burger King/ McDonald’s toys are still some of the best toys ever done for the scale.

Lotta Super7 apologists in this thread. I agree, the price is too high for what you get, and I never was swayed by nice card art, I'm a staunch opener. If no one voiced their problems with the companies though, the thread would just be a circlejerk of "you like it? I like it too!!!"

I’m sure it doesn’t matter. And with tax and shipping they are over $20. My point is, I see so many people say, man these are cool but the price is to high. More and more companies seem happy with more expensive prices and less buyers. I look to sideshow as well. When I started with sideshow their 12” figures were $40. Then Star Wars started at $50. I thought that was high. The runs then were 15,000 or more. Then each release went up $10 and the runs dropped by 1,000. Eventually you get less than 5,000 runs and $250-$300 12” figures.
I always liked the Sam Walton approach. Sell more units at a lower cost. More collectors keeps the hobby healthy. These limited run expensive collectibles seem to just drive people away. I really in no way mean to come off as argumentative. The written word is tough. I’m better face to face. I only look at myself as an example. The only full price reactions I bought were the toxic crusaders. Everything else I bought on sale at fye, bbts or eBay. At this point I don’t buy any reaction at all. If they were $10-$15, I’d most likely buy them all. I did with funko. I do with the hasbro Star Wars and marvel. I just wonder how many new collectors would jump on with a lower price? My wife loves gi joe, she gets al the hasbro stuff….which is its own headache and the super7 ultimates, but the reactions were just to high for her when she can buy articulated figures even some originals for less. Again just my thoughts, I’m glad many people like them and buy them, but I’m priced out at this point, unless something really catches my eye. Last edited by Comedian; 08-06-2021 at 06:52 AM.. |
