Sam Register from TF ANIMATED? This might be good! Admittedly I don't remember much of the old cartoon, nor did it age well IMHO. However, I'll give the new show, and toyline, a chance.

Should be interesting to say the least. Just grateful they kiboshed Josie and the Thundercats like they were tossing around before...
Unless that's what this is. In which case, I'll die of shock. Another interesting tidbit, alongside this that was mentioned, the Young Justice cartoon was confirmed by CN as well. So we should be hearing news of those toys maybe any day now too. Last edited by Snowflakian; 06-02-2010 at 11:05 AM.. |

More than likely, if the show is Warner Bros., then Mattel will make the toys....and if that's the case they will probably suck....very bad. The only thing Mattel has that is worth a crap anymore is DCU Classics and Masters of the Universe Classics. If they go the MOTUC route, then we can have hope, other than that the will just be the same under detailed, under accessorized, under articulated crap that Mattel likes to crap out.

Very interested in how this turns out. Hopefully, this will lead to a retro line similar to MOTUC.

I have no idea why I haven't commented in this thread, but I'm glad that my first post comes with some news. Rosemary Ward posted on her facebook page that Larry Kenney will reprise the voice of Lion-O in the new series.

Huh. He's the former parody voice of Imus in the Morning. I never realized it, but, upon reflection, he does sound like Lion-O.

It is not truely confirmed that Larry will voice Lion-O but he will voice Lion-O's father Claudus. On top of that Tygra and Lion-O will end up being brothers. Here is an interview with the onformation, check it out courtesy of nickmills at ThundercatsLair.org The Rafferty-Mills Connection Blog Archive Interview - Larry Kenney

3.75" figures of the 'Cats and Mutants would be pretty cool. It would also make the possibility of vehicles and playsets more viable.

New info about the upcoming Thundercats series has emerged, courtesy of MTV. Some of the info revealed includes:
- Japanes animation studio Studio4C, which did The Animatrix, will be working on the new series - Snarf will be included, but will not talk. He only says "Snarf, snarf" - Character designs will include darker color palette |

Also, they mentioned the series origin will be more "streamlined". Specifically mentioning they didn't like the whole idea of the cast being from multiple planets. I don't really have an opinion yet. We've seen absolutely nothing of note from this new series or the toy line.

Agree with Joe. I'm excited we're getting something new, but I can't say yay or ney until we see something more concrete.

If it's anything like that fan-made trailer from a while back, it should be awesome!

If Bandai America are doing the toys then we might well get 3.75" or 4" toys, since that's the scale they're using for the 2010 Power Rangers line.
Judging from the pictures of that line on BBTS, the sculpting and articulation looks reasonable - better than Infinite Heroes, but then scultping faces rather than helmets is obviously more difficult. |

I like it. Panthro seems a little too big for my taste, plus Lion-O looks a little too young, but overall I like it and will certainly watch it.
