That Lion-O feels more like it should be a convention exclusive than taking a space in the main line.
Where are Kit and Kat. |

Another winning lineup. I actually don't care for the Mirror Lion-O, but ecstatic to be getting Vultureman and Bengali. Hammerhand looks really good, too! I had that figure as a kid.
There was supposed to be some sort of vehicle or accessory as well in this wave (similar to Mon*Star's chair). No word on that? |

Who is Mirror Lion-O? An evil version ala Anti He-Man?
Any talk of a Cat's Lair? |

Sadly Bengali and Vultureman will be my last two Thundercats Classics/Ultimates purchases. Basically these two complete the LJN collection I had as a kid and anything after this would be just FOMO/Completionism which is a road I don't need to travel down in regards to my collection.

Like a lot of others I'm done with this line as of this wave getting the core cast and the "new" cats completed. But that Hammerhand does look really really cool and I'm seriously tempted to grab him

Kids and Snarf. I do have the Mattel kids tho. I'm sticking with the early core heroes and villains only for a final display.

Also Hachiman, Captain Shiner, the rest of the Berserkers (Cruncher, Ram-Bam, and Top Spinner), and if they go this deep, maybe the Ram-Pagers too (Driller, Stinger, and the infamous unproduced Mad Bubbler). I'm still curious when and how they plan to offer Snarf and the 3 Berbills. Ideally one of each should have been included with the previous figures just like how Ma-Mutt was included with the transformed Mumm-Ra. So what is Super 7 waiting on? Snarf especially is a key character that should have already been offered with Lion-O. Maybe if they do a young Lion-O figure, Snarf can be included with him. |

I wonder if regular Lion-O along with the other Cats will get rereleased with pinless... If this was at $20 a figure I would have gotten the mirror Lion-O to custom regular Lion-O with pinless but alas. Vultureman, Bengali and Hammerhand are all awesome additions! I'm looking forward to continue collecting the line but will cherrypick out new variants at $55 a figure... thus far that leaves out the mirror Lion-O, and Pumm-Ra. For the sake of the line these type of characters should most definitely be convention exclusives imho... Last edited by Synth; 11-22-2021 at 07:03 PM.. |

Jay on his TNI youtube video mentioned that originally a 5th figure with a VEHICLE was rumored to be included with this wave but got pulled. Anyone know who and what that was supposed to be?

Man, Super 7 just really needs to stop releasing images of prototypes or 3D models and friggin just put the actual products out there. Tygra has been delayed by almost 2 years now, what is up with that ?!! If they have the time to work on new products maybe they should focus on delivering the goods. There's no excuse, not even Covid or the delays in factories etc, not when other companies like McFarlane Toys and even Mafex (!) have managed to release their products worldwide.
Its simply unacceptable at this point. The preorder means I am paying good money, that I wont be able to use short-term, for a product that will come 2 years later !! All the meanwhile, who knows what can happen to you or anyone..... /end rant |

I'm starting to get more and more tired of Super7's Ultimates, especially after that waxy skinned disgrace that was April and my Bebop and Rocksteady unable to actually fit their accessories in their friggin hands. I never got their She-Ra (couldn't afford the secondary markup for it) so I'm not sure if April was only a one off issue, or their female figures just suck. The fact that Pumiyra keeps being pushed back and Cheetara flat out was nixed until sometime next year due to "quality control" issues is scaring me off a bit. Especially with pulling the trigger on Lady Jaye and Baroness. |

Really bad attitute towards customers.... Quote:
I saw somebody say before on another site that Super7 makes their Thundercats at another factory than the TMNT stuff, which is why they keep pumping them out but Thundercats keep getting delayed forever. And they don't have access to scans from some previous figures hence the no shows of WilyKit and WilyCat.

Man, I m telling you if Tygra ends up having even the slightest problem, after two years into realization, I am sending it back to them and requesting a friggin refund ! |

The new Lion-O inherited the Mattel figure issues again (abs gaps and shorter height because the compacted center pieces), the translation at the digital sculpt should've been from the 4H resin prototype with better proportions and not from the atrophied Mattel figure.
Fix it please Super7! |

So I’m looking to get into this line, I haven’t purchased any yet or anything from Super7 for that matter, the price tag always put me off to be honest, but I think I'm willing to take the plunge for the Thundercats, but im looking for some honest reviews from people that have some, is this a line worth going for? Also, can someone help me out in what the differences are between Lion-o and Panthro version 1 and 2, seeing as I’m a newbie to this line which version would I be best going for?

If you're a fan of the property, it's worth getting at least the main characters. As far as the prices, I'll be honest, not quite worth the $45-55 prices. More like $35 or so, imo but, it is what it is and no one else is doing anything with the property at the moment.
Entertainment Earth has been having bundles where it comes out to about $35 a figure. And some have been at that price point on Amazon as well. As far as panthro,lion-o v2...Panthro's trunks are the correct shade of blue, and with Lion-o, something about the paint job on his sword. Not entirely sure. But other than that, they'rethe exact same release as v1 in every other aspect. |

At £50 - £60 a figure here (depending where you shop), nah, I really don't think they're worth it (same goes for any Super 7 'Ultimate'). Even my best mate who considers ThunderCats his absolute fave cartoon of all time only has Lion-O, which his some QC issues which he hates Super 7 for because they never got back to this email after the first one. Also they use the outdated Masters of the Universe Classics body with it's weird proportions and dated articulation, with many 'Cats fans complaining the characters look too short and stumpy compared to how they appear in the cartoon. They are technically still the best 'Cats figures ever made but aye it depends how much you consider them to be worth with their flaws an' all that. The recent Mumm-Ra in his big buff battle body seems to be one of the more universally praised figures in the line though he costs a lot more with him being about £70 to £90 here in the UK. The Thundertank looks amazing and too scale for the figures but at £500 it's a hefty purchase in physical size and on the bank balance. Oh and my mate told me he did see Jaga for £39.99 in the clearance section of Forbidden Planet in Cambridge which is the cheapest he's ever seen any of the figures. Though he still didn't buy it, which again being from his fave cartoon ever says something, aye. I believe he's still going to get Mumm-Ra if he ever sees it for about £50 or under and just have that as the sole villain from the show on his shelf like Lion-O is the sole hero.
