I know it's been discussed, but I'm simply wondering for confirmation on a variant? I have an Iron Man plate with mine. I've heard that's the variant? Can someone confirm there is a Tony Stark nameplate? Because since his name on the package reads in tiny letters "Tony Stark" and then in BIG letters IRON MAN, I kind of think a tony stark plate would be the variant. Help?

Ok I've answered my own question finally.. this pic confirms a Stark nameplate at least, but which is the variant? That's still the question. :x

I would venture to guess the tony stark stand is the variant.

Well I'm angry cuz I keep variants on card but open all others.. and this stark is sitting in package with Iron Man nameplate.. and ebay all has Iron Man nameplates listed as the variant. So I need to know which one is officially so I can open it or not! haha

Well with Skaar, I only bought the one with Son of Hulk stand because I like the way it looks. I really didn't care which one was the variant. If you don't know what one is the variant, then buy them both and eventually you will find out.
If I get this Iron Man, I want the Tony Stark stand for sure even if its not the variant. |

I got my Tony Stark figure tonight from a fellow Arker Peterparker!
(it's so cool, it ryhmes!) A re-use of the MM head but with a much better paint job- making it look unique...and mnoreso after I painted his cowling gold to match the comics! The stand is indeed the varaint- just like with Skarr and Namor and Commander Rogers. |

Like Jason said, the Tony Stark stand is the variant just like the other examples he listed. Tony's still in the IM suit, so he's Iron Man to me. If the toy was in a business suit, then I'd call it Tony Stark. Skaar's name is Skaar, but he was also referred to as Son of Hulk (almost like a subtitle). Namor is the Sub-Mariner, but he was know to say Imperious Rex on occasion as a battle cry.
Although, this is the first I've heard of a Commander Rogers stand variant. What's the variant stand say for him?

Commander ROgers' other stand says "Worst guy in charge of ALL TIME!"
It's a rare and possibly imaginary variant that really needs to be made after Fear Itself! |

Then Avengers Tower was destroyed. Oh, and hundreds, if not thousands of civillians have been killed. Yeah- makes Stark's time look rosy by comparison! Mostly tis is because he decided NOT to re-form SHIELD and said "The Avengers can defend everything!". Now, post-Fear Itself, Daisy Johnson and (former Howling Commando) Reb Ralston have founded a new SHIELD- it's core being super powered non-avengers (both Grey and Black Secret warriors teams) trained by Nick Fury and led in the field by Daisy, Dum Dum and Alexander Pierce. (oh, and a time traveling Michangelo is making their tech, it seems) Imagine the old SHIELD, but slimmed way down, with super agents that will take a killshot, but no Nick Fury- Daisy is his hand picked successor. And if you dont know who Daisy is, she once made Wolverine's heart explode in his chest when Wolvie threated to kill Nick Fury. She actually makes Logan nervous! Someone is going to have to gently tell Steve-O to piss off. Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 10-21-2011 at 10:52 PM.. |

Well, I THOUGHT the Iron Man stand is the variant. Only because they announced the figure as Tony Stark. So the Tony Stark stand would seem like the non-variant to me. But since IRON MAN is a in nice big bold letters on the package I'm leaning towards the Tony Stark stand being the variant.

I managed to find Ultimate Magneto and Iron Man this morning. IM came with an IM stand. I would have to agree though, he is not wearing a suit so Tony must be the variant. I just wish he had some cool new armor. I may stick the Tony head on the bleeding edge armor.
