It's the one you've been waiting for...the BIG ONE.

Feast your eyes on the Masters of the Universe Classics Castle Grayskull playset offered by Mattel, on Display at Toy Fair 2013. It's gorgeous!

Lucky! I'll have to live vicariously through you. There's no way my Wife is going to overlook that beautifully huge play set.

It really does take me back though. I may have to buy a bigger house before it comes out >.> somehow. lol

I think the expression "same shit different day" really applies here.

Out of control. Way to go Mattel for hitting it out of the park with this one. The four horsemen must be the busiest people on earth.

I can see this being the 2013 wild hit of christmas and the 2014 subscriptions would have a stronger following. Meaning more MOTUC which is awesome. Slowly but surely Masters has become a behemoth of a collector line.

Really happy to own 2/3rds of these toys already.

Yup, another day of people bitching about minute details on an overall excellent piece.

I can see it now well we didn't get enough money for the whole toy to go into production, What about the prototype at Toyfair 2013?

Oh I don't have any recollection of that toy, you are in the images beside it, well it's not me must be a cosplayer and a 3rd party product.

But get ready for your Castle Grayskull Turret gun this gun is fantastic and a steal for $300, you get the laser gun and a platform for your figures to stand on.

That is a little too small. I Mean, sculpting wise, it looks awesome, but not $300 awesome.

When they start giving their figures interchangeable hands, a plethora of weapons, and learn how to stop putting limbs on backwards, I will agree.

Unless you mean behemoth by the number of figures, then yes, I will agree there. There are too many figures in this line.

I am glad I pre-ordered Castle Grayskull and am not disappointed at all in what I see. I am amazed the 4H got it sculpted and painted in time for Toyfair!

I just don't understand the size complaints about Castle Grayskull after seeing these pictures. I think the size is perfect and the figures fit great with it. It may not be exactly to scale (what playsets really are though) with the figures but it fits them just fine.

Dr. Kain, I can understand your issues with MOTUC but I think your expectations are set too high for this line. If you are expecting them to be comparable to Revoltech/Figure Arts/etc, you are expecting way too much.

$250 to $300 for this?????????????? HELLZ NO. At the MOST, this is worth $150. I don't see anything inspiring about this. How are the 4H guys amazing for this? It looks basically identical to the toy from 30 years ago, just a tad thicker plastic and SLIGHTLY more detail... but $300? No. Sorry. SOOOOOOOOO glad I didn't order it. I just want Mattel to release a simple cardboard version of the front for my He-Man to stand in front of. I'll be happy enough with that.

So lemme get this straight. They beg you to pay for this thing in advance, or subscription or whatever... then they're gonna offer it at retail anyway?

Where did you see that they're going to offer it at retail? They always said that if they got enough pre-orders to go into production they would still have day-of-sales at Mattycollector.com, but at a slightly higher price.

Yeah they would never be able to bring that thing to retail I don't think TRU would even consider it.

Missed the question mark at the end of that sentence, didn't you? I'm inquiring. If you know more than me, explain please.

At first, I wasn't sure if I'd be getting one but now I will be. I can put my pre-order in now. It won't be released till late this year so I've got plenty of time to get the cash. After seeing this prototype, I made my mind up. I was waiting to see the prototype because I can't make my decision based on a diagram or drawing. I didn't think it was gonna be all that but I must admit from the pictures it looks nice. Just based on the size of my Classics figures, that thing is gonna be huge! I see why it's gonna take a whole year. It looks like real stone on the outside or whatever Eternian rock C.G. is made of. I know it's too early to know but do you guys think there will be a future release of Snake Mountain? To my knowledge it's never been made. I could be wrong but Castle Grayskull is good, so it has to have it's evil counterpart right? That's what Masters of the Universe has always been. The balance between good and evil. So do you guys think there will be a Snake Mountain in the future and will you get it if there is one?
