Howdy folks it's your pal Johnny!!!
I picked up the Naruto Sage Mode from Toynami on a whim. Back in 2003 I was in LOVE with Naruto. I watched every episode when it aired on TV Tokyo. I had a ton of Japanese Manga. I even bought and wore the headband! Great show. But in 2007 (?) it came over to the states and I was DISCUSTED. I stopped watching. I stopped collecting. (America does that to me.) NOW, 2010, Naruto has lost steam and most people have left it alone. NOW I AM BACK. Thanks to Toynami fans of Naruto can FINALLY have a perfect figure to pose and display. The packaging is very well done. White card stock with silver lettering. On the one side it has Naruto's eyes in his "sage mode." It's windowed so you can see the figure itself. Naruto includes: - 4" Naruto figure - Sage Jacket - Shoulder hung scroll - 1 pair of closed fists - 1 pair of Ninja seal hands - 1 pair of hands holding kunai - 1 clear round stand The figure itself is REALLY WELL DONE. The joints are smooth were they need to be and tight in others. The shoulders, ankles, and head use a non-ratcheting "Revoltech" type joint. These joints are perfectly tight. He has EVERY JOINT. The best thing about this figure is it's sculpt and articulation. THEY ARE PERFECT. I would have written more but...I have a headache. LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

OH! Ok, yeah let me also add this.
These figures are to be realeased by Toynami in November. SERIES 1 includes - Naruto, Kakashi, and Itachi SERIES 2 includes - Gaara, Sasuke, and Deidara They are all price pointed at around $10 which is GREAT!! Since this exclusive ran me $34 and the old Bandai/Megahouse ones are now running $100-$200 a set. THINGS TOYNAMI SHOULD KEEP? - Articulation, sculpts, accessories, and of course...PAKAGING (It would display well when they are all together) KEEP THIS LINE GEARED FOR COLLECTORS!!! THINGS TOYANMI SHOULD CHANGE? - Themed stands, also include more accessories geared to the characters (Naruto did not even come with a RASENGAN hand!!) I think Toynami has more in store for their figures that are to be released in November. HERE IS TO HOPING!

Johnny, how do these compare to the Bandai figures in Japan from a few years back? I vaguely remember them being fully articulated IIRC, and hard to find at the time(5 years ago).

It is a GREAT FIGURE. Star Wars figures get 7/10 stars ...G.I. Joe figures about 8/10 stars....I would rate this figure 9/10 stars. It is THAT good. No lying. My review states it all!!! Great packaging, sculpt, accessories, and price. You cannot go wrong with figures that are in a $10-$15 range. These are going to be the best figures yet.

im surprised they are only $10-$15 because S.H Figuarts and revoltech have the same amount of accessories but are over $30 ,is naruto a lot less detailed?

He is smaller than those figures for one.
He has a good amount of detail. They even printed his "konoha" headband detail REALLY well. Like I said, it's AMAZINg for Toynami to be doing such great figures at such a reasonable price. The most I would pay for the "retail" release figures, on a regular basis, is about $20 and if all 3 are on pre-order for $32...that's about $10 a figure. REALLY SHOCKING.
