I don't know, but if they can impress with the quality as much as these protos do, I might have to bite at this one. I opted out on the iGear MP Seekers, but this just looks to good. I eagerly await updates on this and Fans Toys in general.

I'm just concerned that FansToys might not be high quality, especially with how unbelievably crazy 3rd party companies are showing up.

Yea you know I have PP01 Faith leader and he came out awesome. Fansproject... Well.. No question there. QC is awesome. If these guys care anything about rep then they should be at least ok for collectors. Knightmorpher (Steam Engine Optimus) had some delicacy issues but not too bad. Again not a kids toy. There not as durable as Hasbro stuff because those are ment to be handled by little kids.

I'm really interested in the third party Soundwave. Very anxious to see how he turns out.

Thunderwing is actually a pretty cool mold. The jet mode is awesome and robot mode is a dead ringer for the original. Just wish the hardpoints for the guns didn't crack on mine.

Black Shadow looks even better.

Classics are without a doubt the overall best line to come down the pike in quite some time. Animated was awesome but, Classics is where the heart lies Whether is being called Classics, Universe or Generations, it all win!

More to come. I forgot how much fun it was posting pictures, I haven't taken any new ones in so long. Expect a photo bomb when I catch up though lol

By Generation: Classics Rodimus Canopy Modification - TFW2005 - The 2005 Boards

Here ya go my friend. This mod is super easy and can be done with very little in the way of tools. I lent out my Dremel awhile ago before I did this mod (still haven't gotten it back GRR) so I did all the cuttin with a pair of nail clippers. Worked PERFECTLY. Left nice, clean cuts. The little bit that didn't, smoothed out nicely with my files.

Awesome mod any aspiring Radicon should do/try. Highly recommended! My only word of warning would be to do this on RTS Roddy first (if you have both him and the Classics version) in case of mistakes. Another one can be had for around ten bucks should you mess up. Hope it helps!

The majority of the posters there are level headed and cool guys/gals. Everywhere you go there are gonna be the few that will troll and flame, but they get weeded out pretty quicky. Besides, that's what the ignore button is for. You shouldn't base everything on what you have heard, try it out. Don't like, don't go back. You are missing out on more by not giving it a chance. There are worse TF site out there. Most of the guys here are on/have been a member there.

I'm a member. I don't like it there. It's a different vibe than here. I don't enjoy reading threads, and members there seem quicker to attack people who don't like something they do.

Allspark is a more inviting community to me (From the outside, looking in at least. I don't believe I'm a member there.)

TFW is a good community. I started off as a lurker over there years ago, then joined up with Hisstank, Toyark and Thundercats.ws as they launched. A lot of the same people post on all four boards, so chances are you will run into people you already know (maybe not by username per se).

I've always liked TFW, but it's been a while since I posted over there. Toyark keeps me pretty busy.

The best advice I can give is to echo what BlackMagnus said. Try it out for yourself (even as a lurker first). If it's not for you, then don't go back. You'll always have Toyark.

I don't know how anyone could even bother with any other TF site other than TFW

Just my personal opinion.

I picked up the gold painted Takara United Classics Bumblebee just after the Goldbug head was announced (To avoid the insane skyrocketing prices that'll drive it to. Just finally got it today, though). I *had* been sitting and waiting for stored to start to discount this guy before I grabbed him. But alas, that was not ment to be.

But onto the point. I want to give everyone a warning. This has some of the worst quality I've ever seen on a toy. On mine at least, it will not go into vehicle mode. The head and chest barily get proper positions in robot mode. The doors pop off if you touch them (I have almost every unique release of this mold. Original, Cliffjumper, Bugbite, RtS), and I've never had a door pop pff on me once before. (I didn't know they *could.* I thought they were pinned on, given that)
Nothing lines up in vehicle, to connect. The roof does not line up with the front. The doors do not line up for any of their connection points. The arms don't fit underside very well at all, either. And in robot, things barily line up.

Maybe this isn't a widespread problem, but I just want to give everyone a heads up. This mold is toast. If the majority of them are like mine, then it will *not* be worth the insane second hand prices an upgrade set will push it to. It's not worth the $30 the current import prices are at.

Sucks to hear that. Peaugh's seemed ok in his review, so hopefully it was just a bad QC issue with yours. Are you able to get it replaced via the importer, or are you stuck with it?

If you are stuck with it, at least the robot mode works enough for you to use that Goldbug head, if you're still going to get the upgrade kit.
