That's sexy. Well, I hear Rodimus has terrible QC and they break easy. MP-10 is being reissued (sort of) even though the logo won't be the same.

Thanks. I just wish the lighting was a little better on Skywarp. But then again, he may just be using his warping ability.

As far as I know, the TT and US versions of the cassettes are identical. Only Soundwave himself had differences between the two releases. Quote:

Whoa that's crazy then considering those were around 50 each for both sets, and the Hasbro version was way cheaper wow.

Yeah, US MP-02 was a hell of a deal at $120 as long as you were OK with SW being more toy-accurate.
On a side note, I kinda wish Hasbro had just continued following TT's numbering scheme instead of starting their own. I think it might get a little confusing in the near-future without the "TT" or "US"/"Hasbro" prefix in front of the MP number. [Scene: The fifth US MP is released and is the US version of TT's MP-11/Starscream] "I just saw MP-05 at TRU the other day." "You saw Masterpiece Megatron at US retail?! How much, and did he have an orange cap?"

I have three mps: MP1, thundercracker, and rodimus. Im adding no more to my collection dude to cost. I stick with generations/classics because of that.
BTW, im always looking to buy any of your older classics toys wink wink

Good to see some Masterpiece displays, I'm very tempted but I've managed to pass on most of them so far (just got Grimlock, Soundwave and the cassettes), but if Bumblebee's an actual VW Beetle then I'll have to give in.

Bluestreak was the first of the G1 Datsun Bros. I owned back in the day (I eventually got all three), so I had to get MP-18 first. I will probably get Prowl and Smokescreen eventually, but the US versions (assuming they come out in the US).
In fact, I like MP-18 so much I will most likely get the US release as well (again, if there is one). Especially if the US version's car mode has a toy-accurate deco instead of TT's toon-accurate version. Extremely tempting. The only reason I've passed on it so far is that I own 3 of the Seekers already. But Acid Storm uses the MP-11 mold, so that's a bonus. I wish US Starscream and Skywarp would get the remold treatment so they all match. Yeah, picking up US MP-02 would have been nice, but I couldn't honestly call it a must-have when I've already got TT MP-13, -15 and -16. if hasbro ever gets around to releasing the datsun's.. i'd be afraid of how smokescreen will turn out.. especially when you look at hasbro's universe version compared to takara's. |

Agreed. He would very quickly be on my short list of MP's to acquire.

If Hasbro does release MP-11 in the States, I will definitely get him. But I'm quite content with Wal-Scream acting as a placeholder while I play the waiting game. Quote:

But when it comes to MPs, there's no reason to assume that Hasbro will do something that isn't based in G1 somehow, whether it is based on the toon or the G1 toy. TT MP-13/US MP-02 is a prime example of this.

Well, "Wal-Scream" isn't exactly bone-white like his 2nd Classics deluxe release. He's more of a very light gray with panel lines and battle damage (I blame my smartphone's flash for white-washing him). Aside from the inherent issues with the original MP Seeker mold, the only other problems I have with my MP Screamer are the battle-damage and burn marks tampo'd on him - and I wouldn't even mind those if Skywarp and Thundercracker had them too. If Hasbro does release MP-11 in the States, I will definitely get him. But I'm quite content with Wal-Scream acting as a placeholder while I play the waiting game. In Hasbro's defense, Universe Smokescreen's deco was never meant to be G1-accurate. In fact, the overarching theme behind Classics/Universe toys was modern updates to their G1 designs (which included their decos). But when it comes to MPs, there's no reason to assume that Hasbro will do something that isn't based in G1 somehow, whether it is based on the toon or the G1 toy. TT MP-13/US MP-02 is a prime example of this. |

I think they might, since MP-11 gives them another chance to re-release a well-known character and using a much-improved mold. But the new one would probably be a TRU exclusive and use the new packaging/numbering system like Acid Storm.
Or at least I hope that is the case.

Thought id dust off this thread. Are there any TF collectors on this site? Anyways:
found something they could have added to the new Roadbuster. While messing around with him last night, I found it odd they would leave such an empty space there on this back. I slipped on his missle firing gun, and was stunned to find out it fit perfectly. Not only that, but it looks very reminiscent to boba fetts jetpack, missle launcher included. All they would have to do is add one more hole where the gun and back meets and you can use that area for gun storage since every weapon uses the same peg width. One extra hole is all they had to do.
