credit Dark Horse from Joecustoms.com on taking pics at the Hasbro booth
JoeCustoms.com > View topic - U.K. Toyfair 2010 (PIC HEAVY) Quote:
I had to take these through the little window they had. No proper pics were allowed. They had goons everywhere. Never before have I met such rude, incompetent morons before in my life. Fat, ugly disinterested women with shltty attitudes who know f**k all about any of their products have no business being at a Toyfair. These were proper Hasbro employees as well. They weren't hired help. No wonder the action figure industry is going to shlt.

This seemed pertinent and important as well......
The best Hasbro stuff was the Iron Man 2 range. I'm gonna get all of these! Apart from all the figures (which have already been seen) There were some vehicles. Tony's race car - looked pretty cool. A Motorbike - crap. A quad - crap. And a mini (ROCC looking) portable headquarters! This looked awesome! The top opens up like the back of the ROCC and it has IM armour components displayed on the little shelves. I dunno if they were snap on armour pieces, but the figure you got with it looked pretty friggin' sweet. |

Marcus, tied to tell them that the wings were wrong. The thread he posted on another site talks about how the Hasbro people working the display knew nothing about the characters and were rude when he tried to correct them.
It is Archangel and MU Colossus behind him with the Archangel wings... I hope that this means we will be getting more major players in the Civil War and X-Men this year. That would be awsome. Last edited by CrownCoke; 01-29-2010 at 07:01 AM.. |

Well, Hasbro's been saying this year Marvel Universe will be mutant-heavy, so there's a good chance.
And I think it's hilarious that Colossus has Archangel's wings. It could be the "Dead Piotr" variant.

Colossus looks amazing though, basically the XMO figure on stilts. I really dont mind the XMO sculpt but my biggest complaint was that he was like a chode, small and round. |

I agree. That is why my XOW Colossus got the legs from the MLS Colossus (except the knee pads that I swapped out).

I concur. I mean the first variant we had of Wolverine was X-Force and they seem intent on finishing the group so I would be VERY surprised if we didn't get an X Force variant |

Warpath has both, Wolverine has both. And don't forget the fan 4 repaints, Ms. Marvel, and more lol. But still, it's just not fast enough T_T. I WANT THEM NAO!!!! And from the sounds of it, maybe it's better the UK disallows pictures. It seems their employees at the shows are less than helpful. Heck they sound worse than toy store employees who hate toys, toons and comics. I just hope they do civil war wolverine already. It's hard enough to find that two pack with him. Let alone knowing if the head is compatible to a masked wolvie figure. As for the Action Figure industry going to shit... While I tend to concur, especially with how store help is these days, even in places that are supposed to specialize in this stuff, and that hasbro should use knowledgable people if they want to garnish interest in their items, the action figure industry itself is one of the facets of the toy industry on the rise, having raised 14% this past year, while the other facets dropped lower. One thing that would help build hype though would be to have enthused excited employees to help convey the greatness of the line. Nothing makes a line look lamer like having some disinterested non-knowledgeable person telling you all the wrong things about it. Especially gems like these. That's such a waste of good potential to help create excitement. Also, YAY for the AIM agent! Hope the US toy fair shows off more though, can't wait to see what else is in store when actual knowledgable and enthused spokespeople are behind it. So shame on you Hasbro UK. You missed your chance to really help create excitement instead of making yourselves look even more foolish. It's hard to want to support a company's branch that's native to you when they act like that. If it was me, I'd start looking at importing figures just because I wouldn't want to support a branch that can't take the time to know or care about its own products, let alone on a show floor where you're showing em off to the masses. That's just utterly pathetic and just plain sad. Heck the toy store hasbro reps, that don't even do the toy shows sound like they are more knowledgable, smile more, and are willing to educate themselves more than these people. What's up with that? And how can people make hasbro notice they need a change in that branch to make sure they're properties they've spent so much money on, are being presented properly and courteously. As far as the CW Wolfie, your looking for the blue and yellow tiger strip masked? |

Yup. The colossus two pack one has a normal logan head, when I'd prefer a masked one. So I'm going to have to swap his head if I ever find him, with the basic tigerstripe for now. Though I'll probably have to color correct the black, unless I go pure desperate and use the animated wolvie's head.
