With the universe line getting better and better and the onset of legends coming back, who's getting what? Are people going to collect both lines or just one? I was a fan of Toybiz but I have no room anymore for new 6" figures nor do I want to pay $15 a figure. I'm probably sticking with MU. Plus, who knows what stores will carry legends. I may get a figure here and there, but I bet we will get a MU version of legends figures as well.

MU all the way for me. I'll still buy a couple ML figures. Mainly the ones depicting my favorite characters. So far the only one I know I'll buy for certain is Fantomex. I'll continue regularly collecting MU but if I see an ML figure I like I might pick it up.

My main focus with legends was x-men related, but with BAF I acquired a lot more than I would have. I'm downsizing my legends but I may have to get a few here and there. I hope I see a mu version of Fantomex as well as Stryfe. A legends Archangel should be good as well.

Mainly MU. But if there's a cool BAF involved i'll start. I missed out on legends completely since I didn't collect toys. basically playing catch up.

From what I've seen the BAF's are selling me on buying them all for ML lines, but there are some individual figures that are catching my eye. Mainly Extremis armour IM both color versions will be a must buy for my IM collection. Steve Rogers, hope, constrictor, that new punisher and thor will probably be ones I want to buy. MU will be the focus of my collecting, but doesn't mean I'm going to " buy them all". I do feel that Hasbro is making MU figures that were already ML figures and ML figures that are MU, I find the better the seller the more likely it'll be in both scales/lines.

I'm sticking with MU. I missed 10 years worth of Legends. Impossible to go back now. Plus I still have to support my meth habit.

To each their own, personally MU are cheaper, smaller and more readily available, They make the ideal collectable. But ML offers larger scale, similar details, baf parts and in some cases a comic, at a $5-10 more price bracket / figure but awesome none the less. If you'r a completist and just start collecting both either 1 will cost ya 1000's just ML has more higher priced items especially Moc.

legends are too large for me to want to start collecting the whole line. plus in that price bracket i have a really hard time buying figures that start to reuse bodies and molds. for something cheap like a MU i dont really mind but if i am paying $15 and up for the same things painted differently over and over i start to lose interest quickly.
legends is my "i like that character i should get the more detailed 6" version" line Last edited by name; 11-09-2011 at 12:59 PM.. |

MU mostly for me, but I will occasionally pick up an ML figure of characters I love enough to have multiple size types of. Ditto to any character I want to have a larger version of like say Ultron or similiar.

Yeah, the price point of the ML is a big factor. I remember getting these figures when they first hit for $8. Nothing like getting Juggernaut or Deadpool for that cost.

only MU. i dont have the room for stocking up on 6 inch figures. MU is much more conservatively sized.

to me im like 50% scale, i.e if i want an antman i would get an marvel universe figure , to go wiht my marvel legends , MU is more popular than legends this year although i think next year legends will be good but not as popular , i go with marvel legends because the figures i have arent just there , they also have memorys on why i got them as well as my childhood (4- 14) plus most of my figures have memorys behind them and also i can remeber how excited i was when i got them epically with deadpool in mint condition so thats why , buts thats me

I also buy whatever I like but that got me into trouble due to lack of space and spending too much money. Easier to collect one line and/or one scale and not jump all over the place. Also collecting various scales usually doesnt look appleasing unless you display it right which can be difficult. As for me, im not going to be collecting either but if I had to pick one it'd be Universe which is what I had been collecting due to smaller size, cheaper price and wider character selection.

Universe all the way. 6" stuff would just take up too much room. Maybe if they made a 6" Pym, I'd get it, but I already have the Legends Yellowjacket to go in my MU display.

MU for me. The cost and size is what lured me in to begin with. I will probably pick up an occasional Legend here and there though if it's a character I really like, or just a killer figure that I can't pass up.
