Wow. He looks awesome. HLJ.com has him on earlybird for $65 USD. Coincidentally, they also have the Yamato Vaklyries for up to 50% off. Still trying to decide if I want this one (scale is preferrable, since I have no space), or shell out for the 1/60 Yamato. My local comic shop has had him for weeks... GAH! Decisions, decisions...

1/60 VF-1S Hikaru Ichijo with Super & Strike Parts Plus Which is the same ship I think (VF-1S). The only thing that seems different is the paint job, and the fact that one i s Roy Focker's ship, the other isn't?

The one at my LCS was the 1/60 Roy Focker version. And then there's this at HLJ:
1/60 VF-1S Hikaru Ichijo with Super & Strike Parts Plus Which is the same ship I think (VF-1S). The only thing that seems different is the paint job, and the fact that one i s Roy Focker's ship, the other isn't? How much is the Roy at your LCS and is it a strike Plus, regular strike, or solo release sans armor? If it's the low viz or Strike Plus, if Roy is your favorite pilot I would get it. If you like Hikaru and DYRL?, I would get the strike plus. There is also a Strike Plus set for Roy but depending on where you go, it sells quicker than Hikaru's.

Roy is my favorite pilot, but the price at the LCS is expensive. It's the one with the strike parts (exact same box as the one at HLJ, but yellow and black). They're asking $179 + tax. It'll end up being about $201. If I bought the red trimmed one from HLJ, it would be about $150 cdn shipped. Even if I got dinged with custom fees, it would still be cheaper. I'm sure I could probably work a deal with the guy at the shop cause that toy has been sitting there for a good number of months gathering dust. I guess it comes down to how badly I want the Roy Focker paint job.

Did you see DYRL? Both Hikaru and Roy kick ass with their Strike valks..

Thanks for the price tip. Yeah, $150 shipped is the most I'd be willing to pay. Think I'm going to scour Ebay for some price options.
