For the most part, all they have to do is ask for an exclusive and pay the required fees.

YES! This is the Tyrion figure I've wanted all along. The armored version is nice enough, but it's so scene-specific and 'armored axe-wielding war dwarf' is just about the worst way to represent Tyrion's character in a collection.

That looks way better than the original, but why does his dagger look like a sai? Definitely cool for the Tyrion fans who were hurt by the original, the only GoT toy I have is Sandor Clegane, but I don't see myself ever getting this because it will probably still cost as much as the other figures (which are typically all bigger).

My area is limited in the number of TRUs and Targets, and I hate stepping foot inside of Wal-Mart (not to mention hitting up location after location to actually find the exclusives), but there are Walgreens on practically every street corner. It's definitely an odd and unprecedented choice of a store for these figures, but hopefully it will allow for more of us to find these exclusives. |

I was being mostly sarcastic, but it seems like Walgreens is getting Exclusive figs that are actually wanted to some degree. It just surprises me that none of the big box stores are getting them. Maybe going with a more intimate retailer is a better call. I mean WG is the only store that I EVER found series 4 of the Transformers Kre-o blind bags (the Yellow tops).

He's out already by the way. I haven't found one, but someone at TFW bought one today and they're on Ebay. Looks better than the proto.

That is nothing new though. Hasbro charges us the same for Yoda or droids or others that use less plastic and may cost less. On the surface it stinks but most stores give one sku to these products so separate pricing isn't realistic. Plus the savings to produce small figures is likely what allows them to make larger figures. No one ever complains that they don't get to pay extra for The Hunk or Juggernaut or The Hound or whoever. Something to think about.

So, this is disappointing. I guess it's my own fault for not opening him up while I was on vacation?
I hear they won't do anything for you if you are in Canada but I sent them message anyway. Just wasn't aware this figure had an QC issues. Thought it was just the early release stuff.
