I doubt this topic has never been brought up before but the thought has been bothering me for the past two weeks. I recently decided to start a new Star Wars collection (I sold my original collection back in 2009) due to the great increase in quality and articulation that I apparently missed out on since 2007. So far it's been really easy finding most of the figures from the Vintage Collection and other series, but as soon as I found out Hasbro released a few figures from the Knights of the Old Republic I dropped my plans to buy everything else. I've had a hard time finding Revan or Malak at a good price, and frankly, I don't even know if I want the Malak figure, which I can already tell I wouldn't like due to the head sculpt. So what are the chances Hasbro would ever release a short line of KOTOR figures? I know they just released Bastila Shan, so that either means KOTOR is still a small priority for them or the demand is still there.
And this is a bit off topic, but I'd like to get a few recommendations on some Star Wars figures that feature high articulation. |

I was just asking myself this yesterday. A cheap Revan would be nice. Also some more figures from KOTOR II.

I doubt they will make a sub-line or a separate line for them. Most likely, if any other figures are made from KOTOR, they will appear in the Vintage or mainline series.
A new game wouldn't hurt, either.

That's what I'm having a hard time understanding. Like I said, I'm just now getting back into collecting Star Wars figures again, and I'm suprised at how easy it's going to be to find new versions of everything I used to have, yet they still only have a few figures from KOTOR available? I mean how hard would it be to make an exclusive series as part of the Vintage Collection?

No clue on Hasbro's plans, but I doubt a KOTOR line is near. Hopefully they'll at least repack the 07 figs they made at some point though.
I do have a few suggestions for you though. All are Vintage Collection.. -Sidious (Phantom Menace): doesn't have ball jointed hips, but still probably THE Sid to have if you were choosing just one. Sculpt, robe, hood,.. awesome. -Maul (Phantom Menace): fully articulated w/ball jointed hips and like Sid has an awesome robe/hood piece. -R2 (RoTJ): check out his accessories. -Ackbar: I just really like this one. -Gamorrean Guard: If you can find any. -Stormtrooper: Fully articulated. A couple of Cantina Patrons that I think are very nice figures.. -Walrus Man: removable arm to re-enact his quick ass whipping -Bom Vimdim: he comes with a glass of blue milk

I reccomend Wilrow Hood: a tubby guy with a what looks to be an ice cream maker -from a one second background shot in ESB.
http://www.jedidefender.com/spearson...illrowwccg.jpg "NOOO! The empire's taking over! I cant leave without my ice cream maker!" One one hand, it's the dumbest figure ever made. ever. On the other hand, he's the only black dude besides Lando in the whole SW galaxy. Maybe he's Lando's portly brother or something. Lando probably gets into all sorts of trouble and this guy gets arrested for it. Tough lineup for Wilrow. The crew at Hasbro scour every single frame of the OT in search of any character they have not yet made three times...and this was all they found. Imagine being that guy that had to pitch this figure ..."um...I think...that is to say...we all decided on...er.. ice cream man... as the new release." **open jaws of disbelief in the board room** I'm intrigued in a strange way though... Who is this actor? I bet he lives off the SW convention circut, splitting slices of pizza with Jeremy Brett, a big stack of signed glossy 8x10 photos on his table...no one buying. Does he get some residual from his figure having been made? If so, how much? What happened to the ice-cream maker? I confess...I want the ice-cream maker. He's a gas miner, you mope. If he fell into Marvel world he'd probably be the next Captain America,.. Or maybe the 28th Venom host.

Does he get some residual from his figure having been made? If so, how much? No one knows who the Willrow Hood actor was... it's a mystery. I would gladly buy his autograph, now THAT would be a fun one to have. I love the SW backgrounders. I've been loving that for over ten years now, SW fans get together and request often silly backgrounders for them to make into figures. Bo Shek, Willrow, this years' is Ben Quadrinaros. As soon as I saw they gave him a name, I needed to have one. It's what keeps me in the game after all these years. These dudes and the cantina guys are what is exciting to me. Plus, this was a great, detailed, quality, and most important, fun figure. I;d rather they did more Willrow-types and less of the Arctic Heat Blast Jungle Wave Armor Iron Man-suit Anakin-type stuff they do. |

I can see the...er...allure...of a new character instead of yet another Han or R2 variant, but damn- this is scraping the bottom of the barrell to the point of absurdity.
It reminds me of this- http://mypetjawa.mu.nu/archives/Uncl...unt%20Beru.jpg Which, admitidly, I'd probably buy for laughs. He mines tabana gas..with his trusty ice cream maker. He sells his patented Tabana Mint Chip on the black market....and Vader's got a craving. That thing with Luke? Just done to look busy on his expense report. Cant drag the fleet across the galaxy for a fix without pissing off the boss, so it's all "I have a plan to crush the rebellion..." Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 02-18-2012 at 09:14 AM.. |

Also...I just picked up a Revan and Malak set this week for $100...would you all say that's a fair price? I'm glad that I'm going to be getting them soon but I'm feeling some intense buyer's remorse. |

The charred remains is a gag custom- there's a few online with varing degrees of remians in the blister card.
No idea if Revan and Malak go for that much, buy I feel that if you love those figs, it's a fair price- money is just abstract bullshit to get what you want anyway....a measure of your time's worth- if you would have worked as many hours equal to what the figs cost to aquire them, it's "worth it". But yeah...I dont get them making Wilrow-Ice-cream-man and not more Expanded Universe stuff- figs from Dark Times or the later novels... Did we even ger a fig of that one BADASS kid that damn near got out of the Jedi Temple (before getting gunned down in front of Bail Organa)? That kid-awan must have been awesome to (presumably) have given Anakin the slip and made it that far. I'd buy that kid. Figuratively speaking. |

That kid is actually George Lucas' son, and it did get a figure called "ZETT JUKASSA" in 2005 for the ROTS line. |

I'm sure there are a lot more people who know about ICMG than any of those novels characters. Mara Jade, Cade, or Thrawn sure; but latest super-secret-Jedi survivor #22 from miscellaneous book #7? No way. Ice Cream Maker Guy has been a famous Star Wars fan in-joke for well over a decade.
That kid is actually George Lucas' son, and it did get a figure called "ZETT JUKASSA" in 2005 for the ROTS line. What about the bartender from ANH? If Wilrow gets a fig and he did not, it'd be te crime of the century! Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 02-21-2012 at 10:23 AM.. |

I've already bought Maul and Sidious. That R2-D2 definitely looks like a must have. What about Anakin from Episode 2? It seems they haven't released an Episode 2 Anakin in the Vintage line yet, and the only one I've found that looks like it's highly articulated is the first Anakin in the "Anakin to Darth Vader Evolution" pack. And it seems as if the Episode 3 Anakin in that pack is better than the Vintage version. And is the Vader in that pack any good? I keep looking for a Vader with the most articulation but it seems a figure like that won't be coming out until later this year.

If they made Wuher with some in-scale beer mugs, I'd buy several- I collect comic art (just three pieces so far- but goood ones!) with characters raising a pint (or other beverage) and I'd love to have figs raising a glass to match.
I have only one POTF-line figure- the Carl Wethers version of Lando. He looks like a freakiin linebacker! Too funny not to own, really. I just got another KOTR trade paperback and decided that I need a Zayne Carrick figure! He's a true Jedi...even if he's not real skilled here....it's nice to have a real heroic character among so many shades-of-grey supporting cast. I think I'll have to custom him...maybe use a Bucky body as the base... They really need to make those Mandalorians! Their armors kick ass! They made Dyre and Jareel...! I gotta have those! Anyone wanna trade me for them? I have..er...well, mostly MU stuff, really, but I we can work something out! |

Don't mean to interrupt anyone...but how recently was the Vintage Collection Bastila figure released? I realize it's already rare but if it's still available at retailers, I'd like to avoid paying $40 on eBay and just buy it at a store.
