Star Wars Black Series Wave 4 Anakin Skywalker Photo Shoot

Star Wars Black Series from Hasbro is a favorite here at Toyark, and Wave 4 is in hand and ready for action. This wave features 2 new figures and 2 re-packs: Ep 3 Anakin Skywalker, a Clone Trooper, a Storm Trooper and Boba Fett. Finally a re-up of figures that makes sense since one is a troop builder and one is still a bit hard to find. Star Wars Black Series #12 Anakin Skywalker

Pros
Good overall sculpt
Double heads, good/evil
Works well with previously released Ep 3 Obi Wan

Cons
Colors are a bit brighter than how it appeared on screen
As with Obi-Wan, little boring

Overall
Overall a solid figure, but I just don’t think he and Obi-Wan were warranted this early in the line. These are collector focused and I think most of us want Original Trilogy first. A random Darth Maul and Clone Trooper is cool, troop builders and main villains always work – but these two were a bit boring to drop in this early. As for Anakin specifically – I think a soft-goods cape to mimic him on Mustafar pre-fight would have made this a bit more exciting. That, and Obi-Wan in a 2 pack would have been a solid release.
