They made one of these in the 80's- I had it and it was pretty cool, as I recall. Not good for posing though- it had all the range of an old Star Wars figure....but it was huge and heavy. Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 03-03-2012 at 07:48 AM.. |

The Masterpiece Voltron from a few years back by Toynami has shitty articulation too. They look nice...'bout it.

That's the original Voltron (Voltron I). He was pretty cool. Remember this one (Voltron II)? He was like the bastard Voltron that no one cared about. "Playing Excitement that Goes On and On!"

If he came apart and die cast, $250 sure. I am going to assume he is one big plastic rock though.

I used to have one of those in the 80's too. All I remember is I kept losing the helicopter blades. Eventually I ended up losing a couple of the vehicles and finally gave up trying to keep track of any of it. Besides, my Transformers were much cooler.

I had either the original Godaikin DX Dairugger XV that was brought over or the Matchbox Voltron release. It was cool but a brick. Always dug the design. This one sounds enticing and worth the price tag. It sounds like it would have more diecast than an SOC should Bandai ever decide to make one.

They're saying it's 50% diecast, so I guess the price is justified?

Most likely, and most likely has a small production run, the company making it isn't very big.

LOL!!! This looks like those crazy knock off Transformers. Now all they need to do is make a Masterpiece version of the knock off Thomas the Tank Engine gestalt, or as I call him "Ulthomas Tankus", to combat this guy. I call his left fist "Percy Sledgehammer". LOL. |
