Sweet baby Jesus !! Who makes that !!!

nakobass 03-03-2012 07:23 AM

When's the release date? I assume Toynami will make it.

Jason Abbadon 03-03-2012 07:38 AM

They made one of these in the 80's- I had it and it was pretty cool, as I recall.
Not good for posing though- it had all the range of an old Star Wars figure....but it was huge and heavy.

The Masterpiece Voltron from a few years back by Toynami has shitty articulation too. They look nice...'bout it.

Optimus Vader 03-03-2012 10:20 AM

That's the original Voltron (Voltron I). He was pretty cool.

Remember this one (Voltron II)? He was like the bastard Voltron that no one cared about.

I do remember him, the toyline released him as Voltron II, but there was actually a japanese show named Albegas, which in my opinion was way much cooler.
Could only find the spanish opening here:

lmao! Dude, my neighbor had this when we were kids. We just made him the guy we beat up with the combined might of my Voltron, all our Ninja Turtles and Transformers.

Shin Densetsu 03-03-2012 10:45 AM

Bionic, got a source? I saw the prototype months back, but haven't seen much since.

Jason Abbadon 03-03-2012 06:33 PM

Fot $250 it should be 1:18th scale!

marvoflg 03-04-2012 06:42 AM

If he came apart and die cast, $250 sure. I am going to assume he is one big plastic rock though.

trebleshot 03-04-2012 10:03 PM

I used to have one of those in the 80's too. All I remember is I kept losing the helicopter blades. Eventually I ended up losing a couple of the vehicles and finally gave up trying to keep track of any of it.

Besides, my Transformers were much cooler.

My friend has a theory:
Since they have the rights to every voltron design (Trendmasters included), given how much wank Voltron Force has in it to both the american and the japanese version, and that particular voltron design has never been used in any american fiction, he thinks that the Cadets are going to end up discovering that particular Voltron, and it will be theirs.

Shin Densetsu 03-05-2012 07:17 AM

I had either the original Godaikin DX Dairugger XV that was brought over or the Matchbox Voltron release. It was cool but a brick. Always dug the design.

This one sounds enticing and worth the price tag. It sounds like it would have more diecast than an SOC should Bandai ever decide to make one.

Enigma2K2 03-05-2012 03:47 PM

No... you can't help this thing.

What, you wanted a giant robot that could do Spider-Man's 4 point stance?

Monari 03-05-2012 09:56 PM

They're saying it's 50% diecast, so I guess the price is justified?

Most likely, and most likely has a small production run, the company making it isn't very big.

Solrac333 03-06-2012 12:10 AM

I WANT IT! :D

Vehicle Voltron Transforming Figure - Voltron Figures

$260! Ha HAAAAA!!!!! Have at it!!!

thechris 03-27-2012 10:33 AM

LOL!!! This looks like those crazy knock off Transformers. Now all they need to do is make a Masterpiece version of the knock off Thomas the Tank Engine gestalt, or as I call him "Ulthomas Tankus", to combat this guy. I call his left fist "Percy Sledgehammer". LOL.
